Akam and Reza both released. Feels like they hardly scratched the surface with them.

They were one of the best home grown talents too but seemed to be cursed with injuries once they hit the main roster

This will piss off so many wrestlers if it's true...

Wrestlers are no longer allowed to associate with third party organisations like Twitch and Cameo. That is so much money gone from pockets.

Since when do they own the real names?
That would include youtbube as well?
"detrimental to the company"? Guess that means he doesn't want people getting over on their own as it messes with his plans.
Though I guess he believes heels shouldn't be joking around with faces.

It's such an old stubborn man mentality. Imagine explaining Twitch to him?

Thats a pity but not surprising since they havent been on TV in months. Always liked them but were wasted when called up to the Main Roster.

You really do sign your life away when you sign an independent contractor contract with the WWE so much so that now they even own your given name.

I saw that earlier. The gimmick names I can understand but WWE owning real names ? That will go down like a lead balloon. WWE can’t trademark a persons real name.

I saw someone doing basic math that someone like Big E could be making 200k a year on cameo just by churning out four or five quick videos a morning. Paige has enough subs on her twitch account that she’s making between 30k to 60k a month (depending on which partner split she has with the site).

This isn’t just hurting a few wrestlers who play games in their spare time. It’s hitting their bank account.

It’s just ridiculous coming for their earning extra money and honestly the cameos, twitch probably help wwe too as it gives fans more reasons to support the wrestlers when their on tv

We all know how ridiculous the independent contractor situation is that all American wrestling companies use And wwe fully deserve the brunt of this criticism as the biggest company

Exactly its also an investment in the long run for each wrestler just in case they get injured or lose their job it can be a nice to fall back on that extra bit of cash if needed.

So who ratted to Vince on the Twitch/Cameo thing?

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,186 ✭✭✭The White Wolf

Probably heard about the Bella Thorne OnlyFans thing and lost his sh1t.

  • Registered Users Posts: 48,990 ✭✭✭✭Lithium93_

Would Vince even know who Bella Thorne is?

I'd be spiteful and go mad branding WWE all over my Twitch page for the next 29 days. Maybe throw in a wardrobe malfunction or two.

Maybe not, but I would assume he has someone advising him on such happenings that might be read as a risk to the company's reputation. Not defending it anyway, he's in the wrong.

I know I'm old so while I know of the existence of things like Snapchat, Instagram, Twitch and, lately, Tik Tok, I never got them. But this Cameo thing is another new one I'd never heard of until now.

When they say they own real names, I wonder if that's only if they use their real names and names they had before coming to WWE like AJ and Samoa Joe. Because I was reading Paige changed the name of her Twitch to her real name.

Speaking of Paige, I've never seen her Twitch, but pictures I've seen of her lately seem to indicate she's really leaning into the sex sells angle for her stuff.

Some online think it stems from AJ Styles admitting he had Covid in his Twitch. Next day Vince outlaws it.

    It adds up.

Im surprised Vince didnt make his own Cameo like app a year ago

For some wrestlers there isn't longevity in their careers. Like Paige and many like her all it takes is one moment and their in ring role is gone. They might be used backstage or in a GM spot but they don't last long for some. What's wrong with them having a Twitch or Cameo account? They're still engaging with fans and trying to make another form of income. It seems incredibly petty.

Apparently it's been said that the contributing factor was an Instagram Ad that Lana did for Bang Energy Drinks.

  • Registered Users Posts: 29,089 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

Are they allowed to use Tout?

Lana must really love her WWE life and being in front of the camera. She could walk away and have no problem with making a living from doing stuff like the above and the odd acting job (not that I've seen her act but I know she's done a few things :P)

    That ad is hilarious.

"Lots of cleavage close-ups and throw some porno music in the background......and show the drink too, I suppose."

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,186 ✭✭✭The White Wolf

Haha looked like she was momentarily disgusted at the taste before smiling.

Ill tell ya whats wrong..... how dare WWE contractors get additional money without Vince getting his cut

And Vince having to control the use and narrative of such things. Can't forget that.

  • Registered Users Posts: 29,089 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

He knows that it means having to spend time and resources burying anyone who gets over on their own.

Will it even change when Vince is gone?
