The governement were terrified of him and did all they could to stop him being heard. It's a complete farce that he was let free and then put back in prison for the same offence never heard of this happening unless release conditions were breached which none were afaik.

I would have thought they're separate issues. Have we ever granted asylum to anyone who has a criminal record in their home country. I'd say we probably have.

The US has a long history of granting asylum to people it might find useful, regardless of their background.

Did you check where the man was born? There are plenty of non white British people, this may upset you but they're British regardless of how you feel. I've no idea. I'm not familiar enough with him to know what the general feeling is towards him. When it comes to extremists, on the left like Leah Doherty, or on the right like Gemma O'Doherty, I don't pay much heed. Too much real life stuff to be getting on with!
