Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What order to renovate a house

Hello I'm looking at buying a 1450 sq ft 4 bed detached house in Newbridge. It needs the following to make it "nice". New Kitchen and appliances. New bathroom including removal of old bath wc and tiles. Possibly work on the ensuite. It seems that this bit of work would greatly increase the value of the house. I was wondering whether I should go first to a plumber, tiler or a builder and would 22k do those 3 rooms?

You had best get a builder in: good luck with that these days!

You need to give some ideas of areas: you could drop 22k on tiles alone so you need to be specific about what nice means here

You either get a kitchen company in who will arrange all for you for the kitchen
and like wise get a bathroom company in to arrange all for the bathroom

    OR

You arrange your own electrician, tiler, kitchen fitter and plumber.

The latter being the cheaper but more difficult option.
