How much does a tank cost/hold?

45 litre tank in the Mk2, and I think I paid just under 60 to fill it last week. Just gone to around half a tank tonight and I’ve done 480 km.

Was thinking the exact same thing, if it was 2008 in the new lower tax bracket it would definitely be one of the biggest bargains on here
Unfortunately you would expect it to have a higher asking price then. The higher tax is why you have the lower asking price... whichever way u want to put it.

Pricy for a 02 147, but this one looks spotless and well minded, and most of these are just gone off the roads at this stage
Also says that there is a full service history included. Same owner for last 9 years
95k miles with NCT until February 2021 and taxed to end of December
Asking €875, and price will also include a new timing belt and water pump

Right I actually got sorted with a newer better car for myself

    So

    For sale

    €400euro
2004 Toyota Corolla 1.4 terra ttvi petrol - Saloon
Engine is good , a small oil top up probably once a month
All tyres have plenty of thread, car runs fine no problems
Clutch is worn but is still driving fine, clutch will probably last another month or more with careful driving.
    NCT until January
Interior tidy , bodywork has some scratches
Front electric windows, electric mirrors, alloy wheels, 2 fobs + 3 keys, alarm with remote central locking,
Fans , radio etc all work fine

Grand little car and good run around. No engine light or anything of the kind, just drive away

Need gone soon so €400 or best offer will take it,

I’m an ignoramus when it comes to Alfa’s. That thing is gorgeous. What’s the performance like on that 1.6 twin spark? ie would it make a good weekend car?

I owned one years ago while in my Alfa phase. While it was one of the smallest cars I owned, I loved it. The 1.6 isn't particularly powerful with only 120bhp, but just a nice car to drive. Mine had aircon and cruise control and from memory, I used to get somewhere around 35mpg. Always reckoned I'd buy another one again, even just as a weekend car like you say.

Looks tidy. Most of them end up battered as they are driven by learner drivers. Same owner since 2004 too!

I had that engine in my 156. The thing adored revs. Would do 75mph in 2nd gear.

One of the best cars I had and surprisingly reliable when maintained properly. I had over 180k miles when I got rid

I'd say so too, especially with a convertible. Forget to declare it off road and play musical chairs with the re-reg lark

It has had a new owner EVERY sixteen months. Did all of those 13 owners not like it? Did they maintain it in their short ownership?

I would consider this a red flag, but each to their own. Eyes wide open.

Buy that. You can't go wrong. Looks in great nick. I've an '05 (older shape) and hasn't given an ounce of bother. When servicing the mechanic has a smile on her face as their so handy to work on.

I'd splash out on a timing belt if it hadn't already been done.

Cheap tax 1.4 TDI Fabia with 14 months test and a bit of tax, €1250

1 owner until a few weeks ago. Very frugal motoring for a shade over a grand

So 45 litres is around about 10 imperial gallons. If you average 47 miles per 1 gallon, you should be able to do about 470 miles if you drive to the point that it's running on fumes or you actually run out of petrol. That equates to just over 750km so how do you manage a claimed 900km with an average of 47mpg (6 litres per 100km in modern day, non British Imperial Measurement speak).

Frankenstein car....Or Franken-car, if you will.

Engine swap like that, almost certainly problematic. Nothing but trouble....IMHO. Even like for like engine swaps can be problematic.

Also where would you stand insurance wise etc. ?
