German? Opel haven't been German since the 1920's. Don't believe everything you hear.

That touchscreen unit is seldom found in them for whatever reason, you'd see some of the last of them from 10/11 still without it.

It’s a Linear Sport, which was the tarted up base model for around 2 or 3 years, it’s in no way rare except for maybe the satnav,

Opel were build in Germany, Poland or UK. I'd say they still had German identity. But their quality was rubbish - similar to European Fords, also made mainly in Germany...

Just bought a 2008 2.0L Petrol Honda Accord.
NCT until June 2020 and 270,000km on the clock.
Driving perfectly and in good condition inside and out.
Paid a princely sum of €780 for it.
Tax is high but the MPG isn't too bad, no worse than my 1.6 TDCI focus which bit the dust.

They're a lovely car, certainly a good step up from a Focus.

Making a claim they are German isn't false advertising though, its just enforcing the common perception/misconception that being German makes them a better quality product. The Opel brand itself is a German registered company so technically they are not misleading anyone with their advertising.

I didnt say it was false advertising, what I was saying was that if it were not meeting whatever criteria is set out by advertising standards, which is actually quite strict, it would be deemed false advertising and not allowed.
    It is allowed.
