    I didn't know the e92 320i had a turbo?

    They don't.

Seller just doing a useless copy and paste job for the description.

'Mint' in an ad puts me off

    'Long NCT' is another one

They seem to be roadside dealer words

Is it just me or are road side dealers on Donedeal always called ‘John’ aswell ?

    P10 Primera, 14 months test, 80k miles - €1450

    Too expensive, but lovely!

Love those old Primeras, but 1450 for one is crazy Ted.

Yep. If that was up for 800/900 I’d have bought it already. Pity.

2011 Megane estate, NCT til January 2021, tax til June, claimed low miles, €1995

I see a bit of a mark on the driver's wing, but even still its a fresh enough car for not a lot of money[/quote]

What are these estates like? Any known issues?

Good car, not going to give you thrills for power but a good work horse.

Very cheap too. If I had the money I'd buy it as I have the hatch and its way too small.

This guy has a lot of cars for sale on Donedeal but the Megane is down as from a "Private Seller". Seems to be based in Tralee but have never come across him. Has a Subaru Impreza similar to the one posted above plus an Auris I must take a look at.

Subaru is something like €1700 cheaper than the Toyota Auris of the same age which probably says something about the Subaru or else the Auris is overpriced.

An 08 Auris for €3700 is overpriced.

Yeah I noticed he has a lot of cars for sale. I'm looking for a cheap estate. My own car passed the nct by some miracle. If it's still for sale in a few days I'll take a look at it.

It really is a poor example. Poverty spec manual with cloth seats and awful interior combo with the least impressive of all the e90x engines...not to mention the se spec bodystyling. It’s barely a step up or not even from a mondeo.

Probably not the best sales technique, painting a swastika on the bonnet of a car to sell it.

He is probably an Indian guy. Indians draw swastika as a sign of auspiciousness - homes, businesses, cars/trucks...

The swastika wasn’t always an odious symbol of hate. Far from it. The word svastika is Sanskrit in origin and means “conducive to well-being.”

Are these 'sold as seen '

I presume there's no warranty implied at 900 wuro

Great find, that’s a nice looking car for the money. Looks like a Type S kit, don’t know if that would have been a factory fit or aftermarket.

It seems cheap, but from what I have heard they aren’t the easiest thing to sell, I’d say that’s 800 quids worth.

Vague memory in my head of a certain accord spec having frequent engine trouble.

    You're not being serious right?

Pretty much every car in this thread is sold as seen.. it's sub 2k!

    Wasn't sure

I was wondering was it worth anything extra from a dealer

Not sure a dealer would be expected to include a warranty with such a car either

If a dealer is selling it then you are protected under the consumer law, only issue is getting a satisfactory outcome of issues arise.

    Prefacelift e46 320d touring
    Test till February 21
    Tax till February 20
    Looks clean enough
Change of ownership this September could be for tax reasons though as that'd tie in with the tax till February
    Asking €875

    Audi a6 tdi
    Test till June 20
    Tax till October 20
    Same owner since November 15
    Looks pretty clean
    Asking €900

Both of these could most likely get on a classic insurance policy too now that they're 20 years old.

no real determination as to how long 'fit for purpose' lasts when you're buying something that old and that cheap..

It's far too much a grey area - it would have to be easily provable that there was a defect when purchased. Hard enough I'd say.
