If only there was a device where you could communicate from the chase car to another Garda car which could then set up a roadblock in the path of where the chase was going.

Yeah cos like, there is no option to turn left or right every 100meters...

How is it embarrissing? You don't know who or what was in the car...If it was just a handful of patrol cars after him, you'd be saying more Guards at a checkpoint..

How it is embarrassing? They’ve been posted up all over Finglas south and in blanch, as if waiting for something to happen, I’d say they thought the occupants of the car had a weapon.

A stinger would slow this down, but they're not allowed use them.

    Wrong.

Yes they are and they do have them..both regular ones and extended ones that cover motorway lanes

Wasn't it only the other night in Kilmore where they nicked 2 lads on the way to a hit? They can't be too careful.

Yes, someone here post it was two guys from Kilmore rather then caught in Kilmore.

Gardai can’t set up road blocks for stolen cars

They can block the road with cars.

They can place barriers for certain offences. A stolen car isn’t one.

    Have you read the thread.
The car was speeding in Finglas, one gang area then in Ballybough the other sides gang area.

Are gardai really this bad at chasing? there's like NINE cars for one there.
The Guards are not allowed to drive over the public . This makes things difficult .

You could get a nice gig consulting with Police around the world about driving techniques and suspect apprehension.

If you pass the driving test before then, you might be able to include practical demonstrations.

and that means they need 9 cars for one stolen car? health and safety reasons? I'm not even blaming the cops, I'd say morale is in the toilet the way their hands are tied.

The bad guys can’t count beyond three .

9 discombobulates them . Completely flabergasted by 3 multiplied by 3

They give up as quivering wrecks , too much memory of their failed schools days .

Happens numerous times per day in rough areas of Dublin.

If the pursuit enters any area where tax payers or people coming home from work see it, it becomes headline news.

Otherwise they dont want to know about it

There are areas that have no taxpayers?

Dross posts and responses deleted together with a number of off-topic posts

If you insist on trying to bring race into threads when there is no link to gangland shootings you can expect sanctions

Any questions PM me - do not respond to this warning in-thread

    Thanks

I'm hearing a car made off from a checkpoint outside the Ardmore Nursing Home. But I heard plenty of sirens for at least 20 minutes, helicopter wasn't around for long though.
