If it is that chap, he seems to have dodged doing a serious spell on at least a couple of occasions. €1m+ and he seems to have walked. It's amazing how often this happens. I know a couple of lads who got caught bang to rights with a €1m of hash back in the day and then nothing more was heard about it. Everyone rats.

If that wagon was stationary why was it rammed? Was it to disorientate like the boys use stun grenades?

The reports also mention that two cars were found burned out but there doesn't seem to be any pictures of the 3rd vehicle or location.

Stationary when rammed? That's unusual. Shooter already on foot and gets clean shots? You could argue that the ramming was a mistake and the result of coked up adrenaline, but that grouping of the shots looks very professional.

Burned out car just off liffey terrace lucan .. road taped off at both ends and garda present so I presume this is the second car

I don't think a gun if used before and then being burnt in a car would stop police from finding out if it was involved in another shooting.

One poster here initially said the victim was been given CPR at the scene, yet, I read on a news article that he was conscious and sitting upright when being removed by ambulance.

Another news report stated he managed to flee into a nearby house.

So, did the vest save him & the head-shots were little more than grazes?

Yeah. He got out of the car and into a house and talked to Gardai before going to hospital.
