How did france not get a YC?

That was an insane call. They've been dominating the lineout all day, surely going to the corner and trying that was a better idea than a 50m attempt at goal

They were gonna get the ball back in the restart. They could have won the game with that kick, or gambled on a lineout which was far from guaranteed

When the kick went wide, they had one last chance which they couldn't take

Decent curtain-raiser for the big match to come.

A narrow defeat would mean if England they would still have a chance of qualifying?

Was Picamoles not offside for that interception at a pretty key moment towards the end.

No chance. The ball was in a ruck. He was a mile offside.

story of this world cup so far has been the very high amount of handling errors. Is it the high humidity making the ball slippery?

Are the Eir commentators at the match because it sounds like they are on the phone ... I can barely hear them at times ... it’s going to be painful to have to listen these lot for the remainder of the tournament .

In the case of ITV that would be no bad thing.

Meanwhile the ITV analysis team are running simulation plays in a Japanese Minka house.

Craig Doyle's trousers are dark, but I'm pretty sure he is tumescent.

This carry on on ITV of the boys standing around chatting looks stupid

So Argentina are out now, save for a well-timed typhoon or two?

I can't see a realistic way for them to progress...

In depth analysis of Johnny's glorious drop kick in 2003 is the sum total of the full time analysis by the boys in studio... FFS!

One or two injuries, in the right place, to the English starting 15 and there might be a sniff.

Angus Gardner's unwillingness this morning to issue yellow cards is not a good sign for Ireland. One o the French should have gone to the bin in the second half and there should at least have been warnings to the Argies in the first. Are referees going to let the Kiwis and others give penalties away within 10 metres of the line without any repercussions?

Why is this a bad sign for Ireland?

ITV has every game across its couple of channels.
EIR has rights to all games in Ireland. RTE have Irelands games and all the knockouts

One has to wonder did they decide to do that after Lopez’s one or where they always going to do that.

Always the poorer of the Hakas that one.
Stick the white lads in the middle and back too. Smart move.

Is there anything against the opposition simply ignoring the Haka and head off down the other side doing a handling drill or something? Do you actually have to stand there and watch it? It sets a tone that i think gives New Zealand an advantage

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,488 ✭✭✭✭lawred2

Time this haka was done away with..

Why should the opposition have to stand around while that pantomime is carried out in front of them?

    It's from a bygone era
