Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Worst thing is we have to put up with the Michael Cheika moany face.

Is that something that's ever absent tho?

Not even a word about a possible offside, just shows how bad the analysis of refereeing decisions is. Comintators afraid to even mention it.

    Davies was miles offside

I just rewound it, irrespective of the gold 9 step before the pass, he was in an offside position when the ball exited.

Baffled as to how Poite didn't ask to check the offside. He might well have been onside but he was so far ahead and started his run from deep early that there's a decent chance he wasn't.

I’d bet my left bollocks he was offside.

Thought he was on. I rewound it too. I'll wait for the studio verdict

Ah lads . We have talked ourselves into hysteria these days. It’s a contact sport

Leading with the elbow or forearm is dangerous.

And Hooper himself taking out Biggar without the ball earlier on was lucky not to see a yellow. He has a history of this.

Been a lot of high tackles let go in the game.

ITV , no mention of an offside, even from Michael Lynagh

Ah stop man . No way . He didn’t lead with forearm or elbow. He cradled the ball and then his arm rose up during contact . It’s not like the one parisse got done for a year back for staide.

Any consistency in the WC and Hooper would have been in the bin. Big teams not being officiated the same way sadly.

Shocking how many regular posters don't know the laws of the game.

You can't lead into a tackle with your forearm.

The sanction is a penalty kick.

I don’t think he lead with it . It made contact in the end , but I felt he braced for impact and then pushed off

    Nor on eir,

D'Arcy making the point about genia taking a step.

I couldnt see a clear shot of when genia picked the ball up. The over head angle starts when he'd already picked it up

A few suspension for similar incidents last yr . Lucky it wasnt a yellow

The ball carrier did lead with the forearm. It wasn't at head height though, a few centimeters higher and it could have been red. They brought this in to avoid concussions. Intention doesn't come into it. These are the rules.

Casual rugby observer here with a question - I've noticed something recently that I hadn't noticed before so wanted to ask.

When a team plans to do a box kick from behind a ruck, two or three, or even 4 players will join the ruck, but all they really do is just make a line, or train, off the back of the ruck, to give the scrumhalf more space for the box kick, so it can't be blocked.

Is this something that has recently changed in the rules, or just something teams have started doing?

The drop goals a Stephen Jones thing?

    Going well for them

    Super game

Think they got away with a forward pass in that try

Nice try from Aussie, questionable final pass though.

If Ireland were down by this margin against a tier 1 nation, you'd write them off. Still feel Aussie can make a match of this.

    Edit: last pass looked ok

Don't let the opportunity to get the boot in pass by anyway!

    Good decision
Jumping into a talckle is the opposite of tackling low

At least all sets of fans can whinge together. It’s been a ****show for everyone . Like spinning the winning streak wheel to see what sanction you get .

Have to use the TMO, once the framework is used and correct decision is come to use TMo every few minutes if the ref wants!

They have all been calls that need a second look

Wales are ravenous for any intercept /counter attack here. Any slip from Aus is gonna get punished. Exciting from both sides.

Hooper loved that. To be fair, it was a great tackle.

Australia are trading at 9/2 in running !
