    Hi All,

Can anyone recommend a good bar/bars to watch GAA in Limerick City. Looking for the Mayo vs Donegal Game the August Bank Holiday. Seems like there are a good few Rugby bars but would they be showing football?

    Thanks in advance,
    M

It will be in most bars. There's no hurling, rugby or soccer games on that weekend that will clash with it so it will be everywhere. Any pub you are in just ask them to put it on. But id recommend any of these

    South's
    The Glen Tavern
    Mcgettigans
    Myles Breens
    Rashers

Would agree with the above list. If you're looking for a bit more atmosphere and character, maybe The Still House is worth a look.

Patsy Nicholas on Gerald Griffin St is by far the best place to watch GAA in Limerick.
Some of the pubs mentioned above would have non-league soccer on their televisions before they would have GAA, especially football
They were all great hurling pubs when the bandwagon was underway last year

+1 for the Still house, always a good atmosphere in there

You'd feel there's a market for a Woolshed type sports bar in the city, given the volume of sport these days. There's not many places you're guaranteed certain games, not least with decent screens and just landed in some corner box TV!

Bit of pub grub, massive screens, bob's your uncle!

There used to be loads of "sports bars" in Limerick one time.

I knew someone would say McGettigans, but I wouldn't classify that as a sports bar, even though their TV selection is pretty good.
