Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Matic in for Lingard

i just think Utd are really poor, way off in terms of a top team, this could easily be 5 already, sterling wasteful...next couple of games crucial, if Liverpool hockey them in a few weeks I cant see OGS surviving

I think he'll be safe enough, United got rid of deadwood in Sanchez, Lukaku before start of season, but haven't really brought anyone in. As much as I like seeing united playing the young lads - you need experience that know how to deal with match situations - Most experienced united player playing tonight is probably DDG, followed by Jones - neither of which are going to do much.

DDG and Jones are probably the two worst examples.

DDG highest wage paid and Jones highest amount of errors.

Literally no clean sheets. Well not literally. But poor return in that regard.

And people were bringing Pogba only two weeks ago.

Let's face it they should be nowhere near our teams until future notice.

I meant in terms of the team playing - 3 years ago half the United team weren't even playing first team football - and if they were they were on the fringes.

    James off, Gomes on.

The fact United are 3-0 down and Martial is still on the bench, tells you how Ole feels about the cup.

You'd think in his position, he'd be desperate for a crack at a trophy.

He's not had a rest in a while. Wonder if that head knock might play a factor in him getting one this weekend?

The last time he gave him a rest, city lost 2 nil.

    Bizarre second half from city
    Played well within themselves
Might have saves some energy for weekend but the second leg should have been meaningless if they kept going

Sorry, should have clarified league games. He's tended to be rested for the cup matches but he played tonight, plus took a knock to the noggin. And it's Villa at the weekend who tend to give up a lot of chances. Could Pep roulette be about to strike? Hopefully not.

I have Foster and I’m thinking he’s one of the few who is likely to play every game.

Gomes will probably get a run out in the Cup next week.

Rashford crocked just after coming on - him being injured could affect people's plans and would now make Greenwood a lot more attractive
