Fiat Punto (in the spirit of the 1993 model)

The Punto is still for sale

It's not- ended production and was a tired, dull joke in the wind up.

They were said to be reviving the Datsun name for budget cars. Like rebranded Dacias or something. Don’t know if it ever happened.

In South Africa it did...and probably elsewhere too

    The Fiat Ritmo.

With all it's quirks. Single (or double?) spoke steering wheel, plastic molding, bonnet intake, round lights, funky wheels, aggressive look etc... hopefully with STRADA or ABARTH input.

Iconic? Maybe not, but certainly an aesthetic trailblazer.

What are those cars underneath? They have a Dacia look about them, or even fiat. Wouldn't have said Nissan.

My father who was a panel beater from the 60s till he died in the 90s used to call it the Sh1tmo.
He called the Fiesta "The Fiasco".

Fiat could do well with lightly retro nods to their much loved repertoire of older models. I saw a redone modern 127 concept a few years back and thought it looked superb, not retro done ****e like the VW beetle was.

So over the years we've seen some names dropped and reintroduced after a few years.
I think the latest is Ford is bring back the Puma but it's a completely different type of segment of cars.

I'd like if Opel reintroduced the Senator name.(I've seen very few of them).
There's just something I like about the name.

What are the car names you'd like to see to return?

    ford Capri,opel Manta

Is this thread about the names of manufacturers people would like to see return, or the names of cars people would like to see return... ?

Lancia are still making cars, I'm just saying I'd like to see them make more of an effort. As far as I know they only sell one model at the minute

Yes, to be fair, Lancia haven't used an engine of their own since about the late 60s AFAIK...

I suppose you could always import one if you wished.

    RX8 :(

I'd love if a company like Lamborghini created a mad looking car and called it the Parra Bellum. It's Latin for "prepare for war", makes no sense in English but I just love the way the Latin sounds :D
