Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Can’t believe I am probably back with 3 but due to a relocation it’s looking likely ..........
Anyway I’m here now and we all have three mobiles. 4G reception and Netflix is streaming HD with no buffering so that’s a good sign
Fibre is pretty close to coming but it’s a rental house so if any digging needs to be done it’s prob a non runner
Which takes me back to 3
I do not want to tie myself into a contract if possible and also do not want to spend 150 euro on their modem !
I have a really good TP Link archer router but no sim slot

If I was to go for the rolling 30 day monthly sim only plan how would I get around the modem problem !

B593 isnt the fastest but you'd get one for €60 on Ebay.

    Thanks
On their site it looks like for the sim only plan there is no option not to buy router
There is a way around that for 10 euro less a month though I think

Get a PAYG sim card. Top up by 20E, get unlimited data for 28 days. Top up every 28 days.

    That’s what I’m thinking
Thanks as always for your help ED E

It’s a pity I can’t convert the credit to Xbox credit like I used to :D

Give it to a charity if you can. Pay for you internet and donate €260 - fees (so probably 100€) to charity per annum. Pretty swank deal if the network in your area isnt congested to hell.

About the same but I've always found TPs cellular stuff a bit lacklustre. It'd probably be fine though.

Just be careful , there is a 60GB limit on the PAYG plan whereas it’s 750GB on the rolling 30 day contract. 60 might sound like a lot but if theres2-3 users in the house it adds up pretty quick

The FUP isnt enforced, Editor Sean has pushed it to check.

Good to know thanks. I’m with Eir landline at the mo. Pay 57 euro a month and get speeds of about 4 download. At the very best I’ve got 7. I’m going to try this for a month and see how it works

But the bullet and went for Three monthly
    Ordered yday came today
But that’s where the good news ends :(

It is significantly slower than our phones
We are getting 6/7 off our phones but only 1-2 off this
    Started a 3.6gb Xbox update an hour ago(Wired )
15% done and the WiFi is now down to 0.7
Can’t be stuck with that for 18 months
Be better off with our phones
Will prob leave it till Monday and see how Netflix runs over weekend but I’ll have to look at Eir now I’d say
There is a phone line connection in the house it’s just not active
Fiber not out this far yet though

    Yep
Things have been fine so far anyway. Netflix not buffering.
Xbox download was a pain though. I might try one overnight and see how that goes

Good one, unlike B593 , LTE aggregation supported there , basically you could connect to 2 transmitters at ones , doubling the speed . You might need to get external antenna though.
If you see 4G+ symbol on you phone ( outdoor, try roof of a house ) then go for antenna

Also try changing between 3g and 4g connection. Sometimes forcing 3g can be faster and more consistent I have found. Depends on type/no. of users on your sector etc.

    Weekend went fine
    Netflix worked perfect no buffering
    Music streaming the same
Tried a game of battlefield on Xbox love last night also worked perfect
Xbox downloads are slow but I am going to do them overnight anymore
WiFi connection is strong all over the house
So I’m happy with it after a shaky start !

Thanks you have made up my mind I’m going to do it too. Did you buy the modem yourself or direct from three?
