Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Not a great looking line up whatsoever but it’s what we’re going with so in Ole we trust. Just hope to god we play some decent football today and we can see some sort of tactical strategy from Ole today instead of the clueless uncreative sideways football we’ve been playing for the past few games. Losing today and we’ve got a very steep mountain to climb that I don’t think Ole is capable of . Big game this !!

Great to have Roy on sky. Would love to see him given a shot of the top job along side a director of football.

    Thankfully that will never happen.

It's also windy and raining since 5pm over here and will be continuing for the next few hours.

One thing I'll say about Pereira is that he seems to have a final ball on him. Good at corners, frees, shooting and crossing. His lack of pace and power holds him back but technically he is decent.

One thing I'll say about him is he is muck.

Surprising no Gomes or Chong on bench

  • The line up boggles my mind
What sort of formation is Ole playing
Gomes no where near the bench which is annoying

He will probably start on Thursday. Stupid having this game on tonight with both of us playing on Thursday then Sunday again.

Would nearly prefer to see Lingard/Pereira right wing, Pogba attaching center mid and then Fred in to play beside McTominay.

Having Pereira and Lingard both starting is a recipe for no attacking threat.

It's says alot about the club doesn't it.

How the hell he got a contract extension and still at the club is beyond me.

The problem is that he’s a first choice option, he should be playing cup games and coming off the bench.

Should be a great game, two evenly matched teams, could go either way.

    a fairly standard 4-2-3-1 I'd say:confused:

    Ashley Young.
    Jaysus.

    Watch him score.

  • Ole looks rattled :/

I've been a massive critic of him but he has done ok (relatively speaking like) this season so far.

The forward threat, just as to where those goals are going to materialize from, Lingard, Peirera and Rashford.... not encouraging.

Lets see how he gets on first against the arsenal front 3!

I'm expecting a loss so anything but is a bonus.

James is an excellent threat in attack

Hes started well for sure. All three summer signings have slotted in very well.

    Jesse is my new Nani.

When we get into good positions the final ball is just always lacking.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,005 ✭✭✭BDI

Good so far. James on chambers promising. Typed as young skies a cross.

  • It's too slow in midfield in general possession

Pogba looking for movement in front of him that's not there

Our best hope is to give the ball to James and let him run at Chambers

Pereira is the man for that according to Liam O...

Excellent by tuanzebe that would have turned into a Phil Jones smalling comedy routine last season

Lingard looks like he win a competition to be a mascot and ended up playing.

Overall better than expected start. Would like to see Rashford not chase every lost cause, would like to see him use his energy when we need it.

I'll never be able to prove it, but I absolutely guarantee that this new "socks rolled down" look he has suddenly started at the age of almost 27 is purely a brand thing, and a silly attempt to look "distinguished".

I won't be at all surprised to see some dreadful JLingz garb rolled out with the silhouette of a player with this socks down.

Some decent balls being delivered into the box but nobody there to meet them. Rashford simply does not have a strikers instinct.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,054 ✭✭✭wanderer100

No ideas when we come near the box . Pereira, Lingard, Rashford have all been muck

Would anyone ever make a run to the near post...we already put 3 balls in there but no one coming in

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,465 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

Such a poor game, really low quality so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,304 ✭✭✭✭Father Hernandez

Why is no one attacking the front post when James gets the ball and puts it in the box?

    Rashford too static

    Because he's not a striker

I’ve been impressed with mctominay over the last year. Really growing into a player. Goes looking from the defence for the ball. Gets stuck in.

    So stupid from rashers

    Free Palestine 🇵🇸

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,762 ✭✭✭bmcc10

That's me done wake up at 4am to watch that s**e regardless of the result tonight it's a team of cowards the focal point of are attack Jesse Lingard running between the lines hiding the player your expecting to create something hiding in attack. Young receive ball hoof along the line rinse repeat. Pereira another bluffer. Just get rid of Ole too aswell ffs mediocre manager mediocre players.

  • Poor game in general

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,054 ✭✭✭wanderer100

We’re way too slow moving forward. Terrible tempo to the game . Sideways passing , no runs from Rashford or Lingard for Pogba to play
