A good spell for Arsenal, committing a lot more players forward and United not getting close enough to prevent crosses and passes, just starting to look very second best all over the park.

Would like to have seen Maguire bring the ball out of the back a bit more. I thought that's what we were paying all that cash for. Arsenal's trio in the centre made it very difficult for us to go through them. We were at our most dangerous on the counter and while pressing.

Putting his defence to one side, I think his quality of picking passes and not getting pressured into mistakes when he has the ball was what was wanted rather than moving forward. I don't think a CB moving up the pitch v a side who have Auba, playing three CMs to cut out passes and overall a side who want to counter is wise.

    Rashford isn't fit

    Came here to say this.

  • James the bright spark of our season
    Brilliant again, full of confidence

Just seen de gea come out as far as his six yard box to claim the ball. This goalkeeper coach change could be onto something.

He now goes forward and back as well as side to side.

    Surely a pen?

Can VAR not go back and check that or had the game/phase gone on too long?

    Rashford isn't fit

He hasn't looked fit since last season when everyone started getting injured.

He needs to stop chasing lost causes for a start.

  • What's the point in VAR
    Fs that's a peno

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,054 ✭✭✭wanderer100

How is that not a pen ?? VAR surely

Surely he moved his arm towards the ball??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,419 ✭✭✭✭A Dub in Glasgo

    That was definite handball

He ,moved his arm away from the ball from what I can see

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,369 ✭✭✭Rossi IRL

Don't be silly lads.... VAR wont overturn a referee

His arm moved towards the ball, had to be a peno.

56 minutes played and what have either jesse or pogba done? Aside from pogba missing the ball before McT scored he has done nothing noteworthy, Jesse even less. Two wastes of space.

    Brainless.

There would be less arsenal bodies and more space of Maguire draws someone in.

    Unbelievable defending, goal stands

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,170 ✭✭✭Cypher_sounds

Some pass across the defence from Tuanzebe, shocking.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,236 ✭✭✭✭J. Marston

Where was VAR for the fùcking handball?

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,369 ✭✭✭Rossi IRL

Why is Maguire that close to the corner flag.

    Error by Tuanzebe as well

  • Shambles of a mistake too

The left side is wide open for Arsenal.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,054 ✭✭✭wanderer100

Momentum has shifted now , we’re going to bottle this

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,170 ✭✭✭Cypher_sounds

If we had PEA we’d be lethal absolutely lethal!

Unfortunately when you have a huge game and rely on an accident waiting to happen like Tuanzebe it will come back to haunt

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,175 ✭✭✭✭Mantis Toboggan

Absolute bollix, we should have had a penalty for the handball.

    Jesus, the pass

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,369 ✭✭✭Rossi IRL

The whistle was also blown before the goal went in I'm sure

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,236 ✭✭✭✭J. Marston

If we draw or lose this Solskjaer better not shrug that penalty decision off.

the ref did not blow until after the ball went in the goal

Good play there, no handball... Pogba. Gots some bend that’s on its way.

  • Ole even saying he's blown the whistle which the ref did it seems

That goal shouldn't have stood in that case

De Gea definitely saw the flag before the shot anyway

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,006 ✭✭✭✭Strumms

    That’s great defending by Alex

Your told at under 10s play to the whistle.

    Not a yellow

A flag isn't a reason to stop playing.

How the **** did he miss that header

    awful attempt

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,474 ✭✭✭✭Zeek12

    Stupid refereeing. Never a yellow.

I miss the days when a tackle like that could build momentum in a game.

Phil Neville built a career on it....usually in games against Arsenal!

    Damnit...should score
