As the subject says...what’s your takeaway recommendations?

    For me
Asian Teahouse: really good with anything I’ve tried
    Monroes: cheesy Pizzas
    Supermacs: chips

obviously you haven't lived.. Supermacs really.... are we talking about ordering after midnight with drink taken or normal hours?

neither would be on my list considering the standard out there.
plenty of other threads for food which most of them do takeway.

    papa rich.
    dough bros / wooza
Hooked for fish n chips/ norios (for chips only and i mean only)

galway is spoilt with really good outlets for takeaway but the list was keeping in category of what you stated.

Supermacs is way over priced, small portions if chips. Dont rate their burgers and I think they still over charge for ketchup.
Stick to some of the local chippers.

Cant beat McDonaghs for the fish n chips.
    Norios do a lovely take-away

    Hooked for Fish & Chips.

All the others are far behind, even McDonaghs which is at this stage only trading off its old reputation and tourist trap location.

Haven't got to try hooked yet but have heard it is excellent.

It's a bit outside the city but my go to is normally Jack Jordan's for chipper type food, anything I have tried there has been very good from burgers to fish and (homemade) chips or pizza and kebabs

High cafe on deliveroo is good. The food travels pretty well and it's tasty.

+1 for Hooked fish and chips normal hours

Late night (post pub) would go for Giovannis over Vinnies any day for reasons of too many 'shrapnel chips' ;) If you prefer loads of shrapnel (amazingly some do!) of course go to Vinnies!
