Hamilton entered the pit after the bollard, is that a penalty?

I imagine Mercedes will argue that it was unsafe for him to stay out. It will be interesting to see how it goes.

I feel sorry for the poor editor at Channel 4 who has to decide what to cut out.

To be fair that sounds like a fair defence by Mercedes.

Would of been alot worse to continue around the track with half a wing with bits of it going everywhere.

Also is there anything to be said for putting sprinklers at all tracks? :D

Let’s hope Hulkenburg gets the good luck for podium at least but would be great if he won his home race.

Were you not the same person whinging about 'common sense' at Canada?

If he gets a penalty then fair enough, but you can't go a lap with a damaged car either.

Looking at LeClerc crash, he would have been better just spinning out instead of trying to save it.

Then he should pull over and retire. If it was a wall instead of a bollard what would he do?

Safety car coming to lap the Williams I thought for a second.

There is no wall though, so why is that relevant?

    Let them race.

I assume LeClerc can get fastest lap point even if he doesn’t finish? Haven’t seen it happen yet

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,369 ✭✭✭Rossi IRL

Stewards have already shown leniency already with the lack of penalty to Leclerc...... I thought that was nailed on.

No, only top 10 who finish

The bollard is the entrance, he didn't use the entrance.

Should be interesting still if it dries again.

You need to defend like a mad man, Albon

I thought the crowd cheering was for Hamilton getting a penalty, then I saw it was because Vettel passed someone at the same time :pac:

    He got a penalty.

As I said, fair enough. I think context needs to be taken into consideration with these situations but it is what it is

Barring another SC or extreme change in conditions it should be a fairly straight run now for Verstappen.
