Doing a clear out in the house and have a very old mattress and divan base to get rid of.

I can see that Mungret will take a mattress for €20 but will they also accept the divan?

Or can anyone recommend an alternative?

Have a look at www.oldmattress.ie We used them last week. Cheap and fast.

Greenstar on the dock road would take both, think they are 40e for mattresses though (you could break the base in to scrap, they have bins for that too).

Thanks Digit1. Used these guys today. It was actually BigMickey who is running this site. I have to say, excellent service, put through the quote online, got a call within an hour, had the guy here this morning right on time.

Took a double mattress, divan base, headboard and a large bit of MDF for 35 euro. Saved me the hassle of having to load it into a trailer and brining it to a depot.

I know you are sorted, but for anyone else, i was out there yesterday and they take a base at no extra cost. Double mattress is 20 and king 25.

If anyone wants to travel to the landfill north of Tralee, they can offload a maximum of three mattresses for free on 10th August.
