    IIRC it took six units of the Fire Service to get the fire under control and the school was empty when it happened. It could have been very serious if it started during the day.

    Tusla started this earlier than that, they had to grant an extension to the date already as they didn’t give crèches enough time to get sorted. They’ve started looking for piles more paperwork too with policies for everything, crèche owners are looking for outs now as it’s hard to focus on the kids with so much new stuff to be done. The only people that are likely to really stick it out are the chains that are already the ones that are in the news for the wrong reasons.

    Wasnt it uncovered in the documentary that the creches were in breach of fire safety standards? The room that was designated a sleeping room was boxed in and would've taken too long to get round in the event of the fire? Werent there boxes or cots or something in the way of another one.

    There was also something with the shutter being brought down too early meaning that the kids couldn't get out if there was a fire.

    There was also something about the plans submitted being different to the layout of the premises on the ground.

    Are these the things Tusla are honing in on? Becauseif they are, thats fair enough.
