Hi Folks, we're looking for an architect for a renovation and extension in the West.

Our architect only works up to planning stage, "too busy to visit sites" is the reason why he doesn't see a project through to the end.

The eventual building work is expected to cost in the region of €275,000. We've been quoted €5000 exclusive of tax for the architects work up to planning only.

What are people's opinions of the €5000? Too much? Too little?

Any opinions appreciated. Thanks a lot.

That's seems high but could due to the complexity of your renovations. I paid €1900 for architect to get planning. I'm in the west as well.
