Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Help requested regarding degrading broadband connection

    Hi,

My broadband service has degraded to be unusable and I am trying to figure out what the problem might be.

I am connected to the modem via Ethernet. I have disabled WiFi on the modem and it's only my computer connected to the modem.

The ISP has replaced the modem this week and all line tests report fine.

My pings are a stable <40ms to Google (8.8.8.8).

    6.14Mbps, 0.51 Mbps
    DSL Mode Interleaved
    Output power 19.8dBm, 12.3dBm
    Line Attenuation 23.5dB, 37dB
    Noise Margin 23dB, 15.4 dB

But then I do anything online and ping time goes into the 100s/ 1000s and that's it. It seems to reset itself after a while and work again. If I add a 2nd device onto the network, it's even worse.

    Any ideas

    Cheers.
