I was reading about a device called moodo which is a smart air freshner (but is too expensive for refills) and got me thinking what other options there are for a sort of smart/scheduled air freshener.

Anyone have anything like this set up at the moment?

From the likes of reddit I have read of people using wax warmers with smart plugs that they schedule to come on and off and also of someone using motion sensors to only activate if there is motion/someone home. The likes of wax warmers and essential oils have been mentioned for the fragances.

It would nice to have some that lasts much longer than supermarket options but be safe and not require much input.

    Examples:

    Moodo - https://moodo.co/shop/devices/moodo-smart-home-aroma-diffuser/

Vocolinc Flowerbud Smart Essential Oil Aromatherapy Diffuser - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Vocolinc-Aromatherapy-Ultrasonic-Adjustable-Humidifier/dp/B07K2YB595

Yankee Scenterpiece warmer in combination without a smart plug - https://www.candlewarehouse.ie/shopexd.asp?id=7071

Went ahead and got the Vocolinc Flowerbud Smart Essential Oil Aromatherapy Diffuser (like new version was available from amazon for a bit cheaper). Google home works fine to start and stop it (default name of device is flowerbud so turn on flowerbud and turn off flowerbud work fine). Will look to set up routines to run it in the morning for a bit and again in the evening. Its own app allows schedules to be set up aswell. Now to find some nice smelling essential oils (hope I can!).
