Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Cut grass. Earthy. Always reminds me of my childhood when so much had to do with playing football until all hours. Beautiful smell.

The smell of a nice fry up. Especially when you're starving.

When you're frying garlic, no better smell.

+1 for this, in fact when I was a kid my life's ambition was to be a petrol pump attendant. Didn't quite work out that way:rolleyes:

Funnily, I don't like that new car smell, at all.
On the rare occasion I've had my car valeted, I've had to warn them not to use "new car" perfume.

I can't abide fire lighters. Trying to break them while in their packets has me cursing. They never break off properly.

No No No. Even those are trying!!!

Too much effort. In fact what I do is I get the packet of Zip or whatever. I break them all up. Put them in a biscuit tin and the job is done. Wash my hands. I feel better after that knowing I'm not going to struggle and curse and get in a temper every time I want to put on a fire.

^ this also the smell of jet fuel, reminds me of going on holidays, continuing with the airport theme the candyesque smell of the duty free shops in airports.

Walking through the forest shortly after it has rained, the smell of the trees and plants just gets the happy hormones going.
I have a big lavender plant at my front door, coming home smells so good.

Lavender, sunflowers, cut grass and clean cottons dried in the sun. Absolutely love a mens cologne that I never found out the name of, must be full of pheromones or something because it rather affected me (it's probably Sex Panther). Love the smell of meat marinated in BBQ sauce cooking over a hot flame, and the salty smell of sea air on a windy blustery day.

Favorite smell of all is that damp petrichor of a woodland floor after a drenching of rain in the summer. There's something so fresh and fertile about it.
