    Dimmy Tooley indeed

If FF had any legitimate ideas on how to deal with Brexit they would have withdrawn support for FG straight away.

They’re like hurlers on the ditch at the moment, waiting for Brexit to go pear shaped so that they can retrospectively say ‘we told you so’.

I’m no great fan of FG, but it seems as if they have more balls than FF at the moment, at least they aren’t hiding in the shadows.

Not a fan of FG either and (I would never vote FF again after they wrecked the country) but they are showing remarkable persistence and stubborness on this. Fair play to M Martin too though for standing behind them, it may be a holding position but for the most part they have parked their petty politics and shown a united front.

    No they haven’t.

MM is waiting until the numbers add to pull the plug and call a GE.

He is sitting by while FG takes all the slack.

    FF are snakes

    That would be politics.

The arrogance of the eu will lead to a no deal brexit. They could have made concessions to Cameron which would have stopped all this ****e

However they are so far up their holes they think that Britain won't survive without them. It's only s matter of time before our "gallant allies in Europe" sell us out. They have started already with the beef deal

He's been quickly put back in his box and told to delete the tweet.

They literally did make concessions to Cameron. He got what he asked for and campaigned for remain.

I’m amazed he had the intelligence to send a tweet in the first place.

As opposed to what, the calm-headed, friendly pleasantries coming from Westminster?

    County hurling, Patar.

The history books will look very kindly on the work of our current Government (and even more so Enda's brilliant FG/Labour administration) - whilst always ignoring the legends in our exemplary civil service.

These are extraordinary times, and being part of the EU has offered us gravitas in our negotiations so far. Coveney's Statesmanship so far has been a proper sight to behold for us followers of 'realpolitik'.

This is why Politicians are lowly viewed of. He obviously has this opinion but because the party disagree with it, he deleted the tweet. Why doesn't he have the backbone to stand-by what he said?

This is something that is badly wrong with Irish politics. In UK or US politics the party members will often come out and disagree with a stance of the party leader. I assume it happens in a lot of other healthy democracies too. Party members would often vote against the party or abstain on stuff they disagree with. Its healthy, its why we vote for individuals as TDs as part of a party and not just the party itself.

Here, If you vote against the party or even openly disagree with a party stance, you're automatically chucked out of the party.

The UK should just do like we did for the Lisbon treaty; keep voting til you get the right answer.

They voted 3 times so far on the Withdrawal Bill.

British media have seized his tweet and now going with Irish unity on the issue is faltering.

    Weldone Timmy you dimwit.

This is the sort of Blinkered nonsense that keep the no deal side trundling along. It's exasperating.

Bit early for stand up comedy.
