i was banned for trolling by ancapailldorcha for trolling
i have asked him why and he said he is upholding the ban

I wish to appeal.

I received an explanation for the ban, trolling and given examples of.
while i agree the mod in question and all the posters on the particular thread would disagree with my posts. my posts are not trolling.

his reply is below:

there is nothing wrong with those posts. they are just simple facts.
I am not here to justify facts to anyone.

If you turn my appeal then push it up to chain all the way to
privacy@thejournal.ie if neccessary.
I already have a formal complaint against this mod - ancapailldorcha - regards a previous ban which is being investigated by boards senior management.

Lets get this sorted ASAP.

I am upholding the ban. Posters are supposed to make original contributions to the forum. You have made grand statements like comparing Trump to Martin Luther King which I consider trolling as well as just pasting links to make your point for you, neither of which is acceptable here.

I am not sure you know how this works.
But I received a 3 week ban and over a week has elapsed and things are moving very slowly
When you will agree with me that the ban was completely partisan and biased
Or is it true what they say boards mods. Worse then the kgb.

Your appeal commenced with a statement that you had made a complaint about the mod. Your appeal could not continue until the office had dealt with that complaint. As soon as that was sorted, and you had confirmed you had attempted to resolve this directly with the mod hullaballoo returned to this thread to indicate the appeal could continue. That was 2 days ago

However given your above comment I am going to step in here and ask the CMods not to progress this appeal until you withdraw that comment

1. It is 7 days since my complaint was thrown out because according to a boards employee they do not handle complaints. A complaint gainst a mod is handled by other mods. I have to accept that and move on. turkeys dont vote for Christmas and all that

2. i made the comment about the kgb to ensure someone would interact with me. did not take you long. i withdraw the comment and now please proceed to deal with my appeal immediately. It aint rocket science, uphold/overturn.

I will agree on the premise you provide
precise clear evidence for your decision
The mod who banned me did not Back up their decision with evidence
They just banned me for trolling because they did not agree with my posts
If you go trough that thread most posts are backed up by no evidence or left leaning propaganda like CNN
These posts are never carded and those posters are never carded and when you report a post for bullying or abuse the post magically disappears, strange that.

All I ask for is honest ,integrity and impartiality from you in your decision

Firstly I am sure you are well aware of the standards of debate expected in the Politics forum. Indeed your prior history in the forum with this account and your previous one is littered with examples where you were informed your posting was not up to standard.

You received your 5th sanction of the year in the forum (across the 2 accounts) on 21 July. That was a one week ban for "one liner/petty name calling/trolling"

Did you even read that Wiki page, as it does nothing that you claim. It indicates that less than 2% of scientists with a view disagree with the scientific consensus you say it debunks. Not only that but a significant number of those who do not agree are of the view the projections could be wrong either way. Indeed the list of scientists itself is short of climate specialists, but still you make an outlandish claim that this supports your own "view"

I say your "view" but I'm not sure that is necessarily the case. It comes across as trolling, pure and simple

I could go on, but I will leave it there as I have already laid out sufficient to support this sanction

Given your overall record in the forum during the course of this year alone you are lucky it is only 3 weeks.If I were a mod of the forum I would be threatening you with a permanent ban if this sort of behaviour continues
