Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

your obsession with coulson is mental.

It is. It's an annoying feature of their posting. But your interest in P.U. is getting a bit much lately too.

As a young man (many years ago) used them, that was in the 70s, they got banned fairly quickly when they got used as a weapon. Some noise off them, would be kind of an early vuvuzela.

    Are they actually banned now?

Likewise Fabinho, there was a piece on him before the game as well so you’ll probably get an increase in the acclaim for him too.

Looking forward to watching this later on. Sounded like a good game.

While i'm here, well done to Rebel, the short he made and posted a few pages back was very good, liked the plot twist!

Can't wait to here what Mike Riley thinks of the VAR penalty decision and if he thinks the officials got it wrong.

You can get foam one with small bits of plastic to make the noise. The original ones were made from wood and delivered a nice belt.

10 goals and 6 assist between the front 3 in the first 5 league games.

    Salah 4 goals 2 assists

    Mane 4 goals 1 assist

    Bobby 2 goals 3 assists.

Salah now has 75 goals and 31 assists in 110 games that is just crazy.

    The goals:

Watching the replay I noticed the crowd were signing Salah's song before he even got the ball (audio here: https://streamable.com/hnfhm )

    giphy.gif

Thought Robertson was great today, any time he got the ball he was really bursting forward, as seen here and in a few of the Firmino clips below, could have scored too:

    giphy.gif

Firmino's been on another level all season, these aren't just skill moves to look good either, 3 of them (including Salah's goal) were 1-2s too so the rest of the team are clearly on the same wavelength, they know to make the run regardless of how improbably the pass looks:

Gini's chance, reminds me a lot of his goal against Bournemouth last season:

    Ref

Best defender player in the world:

    Another for Grujic:

Also just saw the line-ups for the late game today and City's wealth is genuinely incomprehensible, Laporte (£57m) and Mendy (£52m) are both injured, Cancelo (£60m) is on the bench, and still their back 4 for today is £38m more expensive than ours.

Just a word on Robertson today. Right from the start he was on it. For a lad who is not enjoying international football, he really bounced back well. When everyone else was finding their feet, he was driving forward, got the crowd going, ran through Shelvey and got everyone fired up,and kept going on for the 90 minutes. Top man!

I actually thought for most of the first half himself and trent were very sloppy, both excellent in 2nd half though

I would agree, both Robbo and trent were sloppy first half.

Would like to see a bit more end product from him - TAA sent in half a dozen very dangerous crosses, not enough coming in from Robertson's side.

Opening goal for city has taken longer than usual but seems like it’s only a matter of time.

Wee Joe Allen got straight red car today, I can't remember him ever making a rash challenge in his time at Liverpool.

5 yellow cards in 50 appearances in all competitions.

You could see what Robbo was trying to do with Mane and often Wijnaldum, short passes in and around the 18 yard area angle seeking a way to set a player free or indeed be put in for a chance on goal, which he got a few times alas no joy in the end. He spent a fair bit of the gamed playing an inside role be it by accident or design (by design in attack I'm sure, it offers a different aspect to TAA whipping them in time and again)

Still 2-1 to Norwich. I'd fancy them to shut up shop second half.

Bit of panic creeping in that city might actually lose this.

    Is that their style though?

Shutting up shop might play into City's hands anyway.

If they can hold City back in first 15 mins of second half then they have a chance.

    Especially with a makeshift defense.

That said, you wouldn't guess against a third Norwich goal on the counter...
