Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Great header, hopefully we can get a home draw against a non PL team in the next round.

Rochdale in the next round would be nice if they can get through

    Save Kella!

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,611 ✭✭✭✭ERG89

I hope Kelleher has a future at Liverpool for no other reason but Klopp has to pronounce Caoimhin more

Tbh, I fancy United to cause an upset against them tonight.

    Great header by Hoever.

His name means "How Far"...some uninteresting trivia for you.

    Not pronounces as "Hoover" either.

Like the look of Harvey Elliot he has such swagger and confidence about him

Cheeryfella has done more in that 6 role than Lallana

Hard luck Ox. He’s been much better this half

Tbh I’d say they’d be better off out of it to concentrate on avoiding relegation.

I wanted to see some Longstaff tonight.

Pundits would be creaming themselves if De Gea made that save, even though it was pretty much straight at him.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,611 ✭✭✭✭ERG89

Gomez similar to Ox earlier shouldnt be getting into tests of strength as that's what they want.
Shades of Ali vs Napoli by Kelleher there.

I thought Lallana did well in keeping things ticking over, stood out more than our other two midfielders though Ox has come into it more 2nd half

Perhaps I'm being harsh, I think Jones has tonnes of ability, but won't make it, cross from Ox before Hoevers goal typified it - 6 yards out, didn't attack it when it was put on a platter.

    Great job by Lovren

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

Twice in their attack Gomez just stopped and watched what was happening.

Gomez completely asleep there, didn't see him even when running back. Good stop from Lovren.

Milner f**ked him out of after the block & rightfully so.

Fairly poor bit of ball watching from Gomez there a min ago. MK were 2 on 2 and Gomez is staring at the ball, while the 2nd MK player goes and stands outside him waiting for the pass. Plus he dropped deep and played him onside at the same time.

Lallana got caught a couple of times in possession in silly places but did grow into the game in fairness in that role. I always though Jones was central player and not a winger but he has done very well tonight

Big gap between Matip and Gomez now.

Stand back, there’s a Herbie Kane coming through...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

Herbie Kane...a 20 year old who like Arjen Robben must’ve been born looking 35.

Playing without the big man beside him. Don't think Matip would look as good beside a rusty Lovern either..but yeah. It was poor by Gomez.

I want this young side to go on a league cup odyssey. It would be great viewing.

Microphone picks up milly telling elliot to 'come on take your time, take a touch'. Great role model.

So lucky to have him around.

Wow so unlucky from the 16 year old.

    Unlucky...deserved a goal.

Gonch from Grange Hill coming on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,775 ✭✭✭✭Gbear

Both for Lovren and Gomez, I don't think you can take much from one game.

It's all about the system for CBs. I'm confident in whoever of the three of them partners VVD, so long as they get a run of games.

Elliot has his socks pulled up over his knees. I'd like him taken off now and all trace of him ever having played for the club scrubbed please.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

Elliot's been absolutely superb tonight. So unlucky not to have scored.
