Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

No need to over analyse, awful performance, 3 points, move on.

Genuinely now, is that what you’re taking from that game?

I'm taking that as well, thank you very much.

    Fixed your post there, Jamie.

Those stats only paint part of the picture. It's the general consensus that Salah has been in very poor form lately.

I won't speculate on why people call me a Utd fan. I would apparate if you didn't either. Needless to say, it is untrue.

Would that Utd crest you have as a tattoo on your buttocks be a clue ???

I'm hoping they put together some kind of performance. The manager's favourite for the sack 5/4. It's close to do or die for his tenure.

You have to factor in the atmosphere though. Normally the crowd should be on top of the Man City players, but as Everton fans they’ll be supporting City today. So it’s a weird one. It depends on the pride the Everton players feel within themselves.

I’m reading a lot into that performance and result.

Its Everton they have nothing to be proud about.

It's not often that a home side will put everyone behind ball and just sit there denying our front 3 any space what so ever. We won in the face of adversity with 70% possession against a team getting away with so much from the Ref.
It's a good performance to win in such circumstances. Have to applaud Sheffield for the attempt at least, almost worked.

Poor Benteke Palace doesn't seem to be a good place for him he said in an interview that he thinks he could still do a job for Liverpool in the front three.

Benteke genuinely just needs to move to another league.

4 league goals in 52 games in 2 and a bit seasons. His career has nosedived since that first season at Palace.

Crazy to think after only 7 games we're already 9 points ahead of Utd.

    Next 3 PL matches.

A comfortable home win against Leicester.

Smash 4 past Man Utd and get their manager sacked again.

Then break the record for consecutive victories in a humdinger against Spurs in Anfield.

The squad the manager and us fans can take so much out to the game for me it tells a lot about the drive the players on the pitch have when a few of them are having off days.

The front 3 had a poor game however the defensive diamond of Adrian Matip VVD and Fab were top class.

TAA was really poor however Robbo was top class defensively not so much attacking today.

    Gini was is constant best.

Origi offered something different when he came on and did a great job with it.

The goal, already mentioned how despite the big mistake it's good to see Wijnaldum taking that shot and testing the goalkeeper, too many of his efforts from that range aren't even on target:

    Penalty not given:

    giphy.gif

Wasn't a fan of this ref, first the non-call on the penalty and then somehow not giving a booking for this textbook yellow challenge:

    giphy.gif

    Mane's chance:

    giphy.gif

Fab is so good at this, not only reading the play and stopping the attack, but winning possession too, a lot of defenders would just try to put that out for a throw in or even a corner right away:

    giphy.gif

Adrian's a quick learner, a slightly worse quality stream and I'd think this was Alisson:

    giphy.gif

Heroic defending, look how far away Andy is when he comes into frame in the bottom right:

    giphy.gif

Salah's chance, all came from Origi brilliantly fighting for the ball, thought he was excellent today, played a part putting in the cross for the goal too:

    giphy.gif

Nice bit of skill from him too, good to see that quickness to his game:

Smash Utd fine but I want to see Ole at the wheel as long as possible. Then Roy Keane and then give it te Giggsy till the end of the season.

Wow what a great result, considering the opposition's appetite and our lack of clinical finishing today. Adrian is minting his league winners medal with these performances, but only for our titans at centre-half we'd be talking about 1 point or zero today.

I thought Hendo was a bit headless today, which is very out of character for him, Fabi excellent and Wiji keeps the shot on target to sneak a win.

Willing to give the 3 amigos a pass, they've brought so much light into my life.

    This team are Mentality Monsters!!!!!

Trent really isnt a defender is he.

If we wanted a full-back who got a nose bleed every time he went past half way we could just play Clyne there. And we did for a while.
