Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Lots of questions asked of Gomez tonight and the answers arent good.

He looked at him 3 times then started ball watching at the crucial time.

Gomez and TAA on the same flank is actually not a great paring - I've noticed they can lack coordination, probably a case of both being young and both lacking authority. If Matip is there he will take charge.

This is now old news now it's 3-3 but it's clearly true,

Ffs...was training and seen it was 3 zip.
    Home now and 3 -3
What the hell is going on

That's what happens when the best defender at the club in 2019 isn't there :(

VVD looks average tonight without Matip beside him.

Gomez being there instead of Matip has been huge... was horrific for that, just stuck in no mans land with no awareness of the lad beyond him just waiting for a tap in.

Henderson has been pants tonight, we need Milner on.

Can't remember the last time we blew a 3 goal lead - was it Palace?

Have any of the front 3 touched the ball this half?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

Milner is not the answer really, though Henderson off should help.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,358 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

    Watching that again.

    Gomez was appalling.

    Strange substitution there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,546 ✭✭✭✭murpho999

Bizarre how their performance is so different in each half.

Thought those days of dodgy defending were gone.

Salah with two heavy touches in a row in good positions. Frustrating.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,358 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

How was that not a foul on Origi?

Salzburg have started committing far fewer forward on counters. No idea why.

It’ll probably be moved to current affairs.

Robbo and Trent need to be reminded that their primary job is defending. Both been playing like out and out wingers tonight.

    Salah has amazing touch.

    Lovely finish.

Salzburg letting us back in by sitting back.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,546 ✭✭✭✭murpho999

    That's better.

    Played well since Salzburg equalised.

Need to stay focussed now and secure the three points.

    That assist is so good

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,495 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

I’m giving some credit to Origi for us going back in front. He’s given us a huge burst of energy since coming on, love his attitude.

See just relax, get a bit of possession and pop it around again. No need to force things leaving defenders isolated.

Insane 25 min of football. The senior players need to get a grip on this game..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 767 ✭✭✭patsy sally

both teams seem to have forgotten how to defend

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,654 ✭✭✭The Rooster

    That assist is so good
There was some mediocre play in the build up, but the 3 final touches by Fab, Bobby and Mo were all class

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,775 ✭✭✭✭Gbear

    This is a bit Rodgersesque.

It's not like we've been terrible tonight by any stretch. Complacency you'd expect of a team that's got lots of license to attack, quality and spirit, but a lack of discipline that's been alien to Klopp's Liverpool from the past 18 months or so.

There was something hectic about Henderson and the front three. It produced a lot of quality when we were on the front foot, but started wasting possession and leaving gaping holes when we started losing focus.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,349 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

Are we back to being mental Liverpool again?

Kloop need to haul everyone in first thing tomorrow and give whats for as this is shocking

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,926 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Origi turns the game every time he comes off the bench.

What a player he is turning into for us.
