    Indeed you do

We deserved the win alright but I'm sure you can understand my frustration

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,805 ✭✭✭mightyreds

It was a pen. No if's, no but's. Great win.

Still can't get over how mentally strong Milner is. Must be the Ribena.

Scmiechel tried everything he could to put him off delayed the kick , got in his face , then jumped around the line

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,611 ✭✭✭✭ERG89

24 points out of 24 and the best defensive record in the league what a time to be a Liverpool fan.

I think we need to sort out the defence as we aren't keeping enough clean sheets.

Did Kenny Cunningham lose his house on a bet on this game today???
    Acting like a child

If it was Vardy at the other end no one would question the penalty.

Glad I was watching on NBC ;)

The commentator on NBC is the complete opposite to Martin Tyler even my missus commented on his extreme enthusiasm

    Blue moon is in meltdown

You were in meltdown earlier as well and seemed to be getting off on it.

Time for Origi to get the call?

What a game, this team just seems to find a way. Great to be going into the international break with 3 points and 8 wins out of 8. The team is determined to go for it, they are giving it some crack of the whip.

I’d expect the same from our keeper to be fair. Whatever might help distract, part of the game. Nice 3 points today, very pleased after that. Super start to our season :-)

Mane went down easy-ish but that's a peno all day long.

Once I saw the replay I knew there was zero chance of VAR overruling.

Time for Origi to get the call?

He's better off the bench imo, he's so strong and fast and that's just amplified so much by being 70 minutes fitter than everyone else.

Can never remember his name but he's great, does a lot of the Scottish football commentary

Lovren....best defender at LFC in October 2019.....We didn't play amazing but i think we absolutely deserved the win....

Great way to win it but the nerves are gone, Milner some lad for the peno's, lovely assist too....8 from 8....I mean, just superb really....

8 from 8,and again a game that wouldn't have been won 12 months ago.
Played well, left some scores behind, but got the win. Glad for Leicester, should have been down to 10 men INHO for Choudry tackle on Mo.
What was the handbags for at the end, my stream crashed.

Only 8 games in and my nerves are gone, sure only 30 more to go..

    Yay

I don’t know what the debate is with the peno. Ref called it, VAR reviewed it and agreed. Deserved 3 win but only just. Winning is a great habit to have!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,398 ✭✭✭facehugger99

Lovren has firmly nailed down the 'best 4th choice CB in the world' position.

One of my favorites, I'll always remember him for his commentary of Celtic 6 Rangers 2 Demolition derby:D

Stood on his foot. Can't see what the argument against it is.

Started following Salzburg after weds, they do know how to score for sure,4 more so far today.

Only need 2.5333 points per game for the rest of the season to get to 100 pts. Managing 3 pts on average so far, so piece oh'piss to achieve :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,212 ✭✭✭shamrock55

It's mental really that we feel we must win every game to keep city at bay, as someone said 8 games in and I feel wrecked already

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,594 ✭✭✭kingshankly

    Two week break very welcome

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,919 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Why we never thought of this whole 3 points a game before surprised me.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,989 ✭✭✭Potential Underachiever

    Great win, huge 3 points.

We need to be champions first for it to mean it's the sign of champions tbh.

Agree with a previous poster saying Salah looks shook, he was truly awful today, Firmino not far behind, Mane to his credit was carrying those lads today.

Perefectly set up now for Utd to stop us equalling the 18 win record...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,594 ✭✭✭kingshankly

With the Chelsea and Leicester results that’s us 4 points better off than corresponding fixtures from last year

Utd away next. I'll be in hoping they don't lose tomorrow to keep Solskjaer in charge for that game. They probably will lose now :(

    1. Player came in from the back

    2. There was contact

    3. There was another defender in front of Mane. No need to dive in.

    PENALTY

A draw will also finish him off. International break plenty of time to replace a manager.

    Everton as well.....

Are we on 17 league wins in a row now? 1 behind city's record if so.

    Unbelievable!!!

    Nailed on peno.

It's glorious that people think it's soft though.

Bitter rivals being butthurt makes the win even more satisfying, if that's possible.

    We find a way.

    8 out of 8. Ridiculous.

    On we go.

Klopp furious over the Salah challenge. Rightly so. Deffo a red!
Be touch and go for him to be ready for Man U.

Don’t think point 3 is any reason to or not award a pen

Amazed there is any debate about the penalty at all. You can't try and win the ball by going through the back of the legs of the player in possession of the ball.

I can only imagine the victory celebrations of the side to stop the run.

They are doing exactly what I saw United do for 20 years, never give up. I spent my early years wondering how the **** do they keep winning they must be luckiest side around.
Debate over the penalty if you want but we don't even get that decision if mane isn't chasing that ball. You make your own luck.

We by no means look our best yet but this team are determined to win this league. The pain from last season is driving them on.

There was no debate on the NBC commentary I was watching.

It's hard to imagine a more definite penalty.

Surprised to hear there was any argument about it TBH.

Really want to see the same team that played MK Dons play against Arsenal. With the World Cup games coming the team is going to be pushed to breaking point- you could see Wednesday’s efforts in the legs for the last 39 mins.

Hopefully they are scouting one or two January transfers in.

Liverpool are now a destination club compared to where they were under Rodgers & Roy.

Rodgers signed some great players who are still at the club now. Very unfair.

I felt throughout the game that Liverpool were much the better team, just didn't have that killer instinct on the break. I was pretty disappointed by Leicester to be honest, they were tidy and obviously have good players but had very little threat. It definitely seemed like one of those games where sloppiness when only one ahead could come back and bite.

Great three points. Lovren was brilliant considering his lack of game time and being up against Vardy, I was worried about that before the game for sure.

The penalty inflates Liverpool's xG but it's still high and shows the dominance really.

    Liverpool xG - 3.75
    Leicester xG - 0.10
