Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Good weekend but don’t think a Club like City can’t go on a 15 game winning run and reel us in. It’s only 8 games in ffs.

    Wow isn't the word.

Wolves could have been two up by halftime but second half was a different story.

Breakaways were class but the defending was something else.

Weird actually not minding if utd get a result too. A loss for them could be the end, dont want them getting the new manager bounce that seems to happen.

Yeah I want some moral boosting wins for Ole here and there, today would be decent ahead of us giving them a hiding.

Remember looking at fixtures and hoping we would be within 3 points at start of November.
4 points out of United & Spurs would be excellent.

    City have from Nov 10th

    tough run of games

Over the moon to be 8 points ahead.
Back down to earth knowing the bottling talk will be along very shortly.

Last season, City looked more likely to drop points against the likes of Palace and Newcastle than the good sides. If that carries over to this season, they'll come through that with maximum points!!

It's just desperate straw clutching from them but it's hilarious, can't wait.

Win the next three vs Man Utd, Spurs and Villa, and City will arrive at Anfield on November 10th trying to avoid going (at least) 11 points behind. If that happened you'd have to put Liverpool in 'one hand on the trophy' territory.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,417 ✭✭✭.G.

At least City will have to come to Anfield and go all out for a win which might suit us.

That might happen but we’d have to lose or draw most of those 15 games. Can’t see that happening tbh

What? You could win 11 and draw 4 and be reeled in?

With City being so good I'm counting back this way, max they can get now is 106 pts.

Quality reading in there, they believe 5 goalkeeping mistakes happened in our favour and we bribed each goalkeeper also the FA are out to get them and got them knocked out of the champions league last year.

    Yep
Could draw with the mancs, lose to Spurs and lose to City, and then it’s back to all square.
They’d need to all get their act together and have breaks going their way, but it’s not impossible.

8 is great. But a long way to go.

It's a great start but they come to Anfield next month and we are staring down a seriously congested December. We need to be as far in front as possible as we will hit a slump sooner than later.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,405 ✭✭✭Sofa Spud

Surprised how many on Blue Moon are calling the league over and focus on the CL. Also, in related good news for former Reds, Stevie about to go 2 pts clear of the Scots Prem with an impressive 4-0 win.

    EDIT: eh, make that 5-0

Mad to think according to the Utd posters on here that no Liverpool player is good enough to get into there team and Klopp wouldn't be a good enough manager for Utd.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

    Libpool 24 points (3 PPG)

    30 games x 2.25 PPG = 67.5 points + 24 = 91.5 points

    City 16 points (2 PPG)

    30 games x 2.5 PPG = 75 points + 16 = 91 points

So the margin is up to 0.25 PPG as you can't have half a point to win the league but City may well still have a better goal difference:)
