Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Wilson has scored more goals from outside the area than any other player in the English leagues in the last year.

And why didn't we keep Wilson?

Because he wouldn't see a minute of football for us and so is instead starting Premier League games for a decent side.

Because the manager that won the European Cup a few months ago doesn't think he is good enough maybe.

Can't wait to hear how we bottled the league after being 2 points ahead of City in August.

Very harsh on City.. I was hoping it be disallowed for city players blocking the view of the goalie but never expected that.

    Works out nicely though.

It’s in our hands now. 36 wins and we’ve done it, anything less and we’ve bottled it.

Is the performance of our rival not relevant ?

Yes it absolutely is. Any team in the top four and utd should be discussed

Without Kompany they are vunerable, shame most teams are beaten before the game starts and just go out to keep the score low.

My favourite bit of that was Martin Tyler practically sucking Pep off at the end, and putting words in Aguero’s mouth during the replay “I’m sorry boss, my replacement won us the game and you were right” or something to that effect.

He doesn’t do himself any favours at times. :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,404 ✭✭✭✭Vicxas

Im not sure if City weren't on it, or if Spurs were good.

The second one fills me with much dread.

Yes Pep should talk to the best manager in the league about how a 1000 mph press only gets you so far :p:p:D

When Neville joke about taking back their commentry, he (Martin Tyler) got very defensive. It make me laugh in the irl.

Hit his hand didn't it? That's handball.

    City not on it?

It was the best footballing performance in history, Cruyff’s angel descended onto the pitch at one point to applaud them. The player ratings were bumped up to 11 by the BBC just for this team.

And they still only drew. :pac:

VAR is already altering the table.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,985 ✭✭✭ebbsy

Balls direction was changed by hand, and that is a foul in the laws of the game.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 921 ✭✭✭The Good Ole Boys

It was very funny moment, but it was the right decision by the VAR. End of sentence.

Under new rules yea, but typically that would never be giving as a handball.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,740 ✭✭✭✭MD1990

I think it is the correct decision.

Changed the flight of the ball & it landed it to Jesus.

If it doesnt hit Laportes hand City probably dont score.

It's the end of injustice in football. That's a good thing for all concerned.

Consistency is the key, in Supper Cup we had what would normally be giving as a handball, especially in Europe, not given.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,985 ✭✭✭ebbsy

    Goooooooaaaaaaa...........

    NOT

It wasn't used for that purpose there. Yeah diving and all the other bolloxology that goes on yes. Bring it on... But for me, as much as I like to see City drop points, that was ridiculous.
Yes I guess that's the new rules. But...if it's not intentional leave it be

Its impossible to judge intention so the rule as it is now is the most sensible option.

VAR was enough to introduce this season, to bring VAR in, and to make up new rules is a bit much. I've no doubt the shoe will be on the other foot at some point, and we'll be the ones losing points to the new rules and VAR.
