Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. Mane rightfully annoyed on the bench there

Mane p1ssed off big time with Mo.

The hungry to score you have to admire.

How was that a free to Burnley the player ran away from the ball to block the Liverpool player

Mane was offside in that last chance so Salah could not have passed to him

I thought he was as well to be honest. Maybe if Salah released the ball faster but think the Burnley guy would have blocked it then.

Sky are gonna milk that Mane clip for all its worth.

I have no problem with a forward backing himself, but Salah is definitely getting a touch of Robben’s syndrome since he was chasing the golden boot last season.

I still wouldn’t change a thing about him though. Much better to have an over-confident star forward than a sheepish one.

Fab is some player lads, fast becoming one of my favorites. To think he didn't even play this time last year.
Unfortunately it won't go unnoticed in Brazil....

I know he does get a lot of plaudits already but it’s performances like today from VVD that has us as title contenders. He’s just so good.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

I'd say it's a combination of Salah not passing the ball mainly and then getting subbed off a couple of minutes later when Salah never gets taken off himself.

Neville's had to step out to the jacks for a quick tug after seeing that.

Mane off to Real Madrid in the morning. Flying Easyjet.

I agree but I just found it OTT for him to be called "dim" by one poster as an example.

I said 'fairly dim' if you're going to quote me, quote me correctly.

And I stand by it - he's an incredible talent but frequently ignores better placed players to just scuff a shot straight at the keeper or into a defenders legs - now and again he ignores someone only to curl it inch perfect into the top corner, which is brilliant - I just think he needs to work on getting the balance right and I'm clearly not alone.

Liverpool break their all time club record of 12 league wins in a row with their 13th here.

Bobby becomes the first Brazilian to score 50 PL goals.

    Love that passion.

9 more months like that and I'll be very happy.

    Nor has Harry Kane :pac:

Good game, any win at Turf Moor is like Napoleon taking Moscow. 3-0 with a clean sheet would be like avoiding being banished St Helena and victory at Waterloo

Clean sheet. Top of the league. Great start to the season.

Normally a place you would be not looking forward to go to but we made light work of it, lets hope we pick up where we left off after the international break.

I don't get who Mane was remonstrating with on the bench if the problem he had was Salah (who was still on the pitch) not putting him in for an almost certain goal?

Salah was taken off the game before last but I'd imagine Klopp is taking Mane and Bobby off more because they had less of a rest over the summer.

I suspect he was just ranting to the bench, not at anyone in particular. And rightfully so, Mo should have passed.

It's now a 34 game season, and we start wit a 2pt lead. I fear we may need to hold this lead right to the end. We won't give it up easily, that's for sure.
At home next, City away to the over confident Norwich.

As mentioned think it was the benches decision to take him off instead of Salah just after that happened.

Mane’s def the one who needs to be rested at every opportunity though, had way less time off over the summer than anyone else and there’s a very long season ahead.

Not just this game but Salah seems reluctant to pass to Mane at times.

It is his only fault as Salah's passing & creating of chances is generally underrated

Say he was complaining to one of the coaches. Saying he was open and Salah didn't pass and you need to say something to him?

I was actually going to look for the MU fixture, hope ole is still there by the time we play them!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,417 ✭✭✭.G.

That was an extremely good performance, especially there against that lot and with a weak ref to boot. Love Mane's passion and he's not wrong either, Mo pisses me right off sometimes. The clean sheet very important too.

He has no international duty so two weeks rest for him now.

No, you know the drill - he gets sacked 24 hours after we play them.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

What was that whole Zouma thing about from Kelly to VVD?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,495 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Very odd there from Kelly interviewing Virgil. She began to ask him about Zouma being racially abused for scoring an OG today, and then completely dropped the subject and moved on. Wonder what that was about?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,465 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

Fabinho looking like a bargain, and only 25. One would think he was 29.

2.54 points per game average last season, but he only got going 1/2 through season.

Having him firing right from the off this season will only benefit us.

No idea. VVD looks as confused as we do.

think she said she got wrong information that it was ok to ask that question about Zouma,

Based on their coverage over the first month Sky have clearly been told to sensationalise more this season, she probably has her producer in her ear "ask about the racial abuse!" "ask about Mane! does he hate Salah?"

Getting racially abused on Twitter for the OG, hardly surprising
