changing school procedure

    hi all,
    We were considering changing our daughter from her current school to another.she is going into her junior cert year. Just wondering does anyone know the steps involved? presume obviously contact new school first to see if she can enroll etc?

    Contact the new school. Check that the subjects she is currently doing are also done in the new school.

    If the language (French/German/Spanish/Italian) is different, the 'new' school might ask her to go into 2nd year rather than directly into 3rd. It depends. They all have their own enrolment procedures which should be available on their website. Some will only take after JC, not mid-way through an exam cycle.

    The new school may not have room, depending how many are in the year she wants to enter.
