Having done both roubaix and Flanders, I'd be interested in hearing if anyone here has done the Gran fondo Milan San Remo? Obviously fly into Milan but what return flights did anyone get?

Nice would probably be easiest no? 90mins - 2hrs by train and Ryanair have regular flights.

I did it and they had a bus transfer back to Milan from the finish.

Just a general question, how do ye guys transport the bike and gear? The bike gets packed in a case but the gear? Such as track pump, spares and tools

Pack it carefully into the case around the bike.

The weight of the bike + case leaves plenty of room usually.

When packing my bike I use the foam insulation that plumbers use, wrap bike well in it and secure. Cable tie track pump etc to bike. Plenty of room for kit

Are you trying to beat Gilbert to the 5 monuments?
