Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I threw a fiver on Leclerc at 20/1. Looks too big. Russell is 150/1 to score points too, defo worth a throw-away fiver.

    Save your money!
His personality seems pleasant and agreeable compared to some of his more experienced peers.

I won’t be going to see that Captain America film next year, that guy was a jerk to Brundle!

Going to be an exciting start. Be great to see the Ferraris get in front of the Mercs! It could happen....maybe

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,686 ✭✭✭Charlie-Bravo

Maybe he knows that Brundle is adick also, just confirming things as he said that he was a man of few words, and wasted about 30 secs. Two wrongs...

Delighted with life. Just finished a 24 hour walk for charity and went to the local. 4 TVs and the large projector showing the race!

Max fiights off 2 Mercs to keep 1st, Gasly drops to 9th..........nuff said

    Bad start for Bottas.

Great start from Max, disaster for Bottas.

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,648 ✭✭✭✭skipper_G

Somewhere Ocon is laughing his arse off at Bottas' awful start. And speaking of bad starts Pierre Gasly everybody, take a bow.

LeClerc might be asked to let Vettel by soon, they're falling back.

Russell in 14th and looking comfortable

Yeah good to see. Hope he can hold on for a decent result.

I have a bad feeling that Hamilton is going to come out on top here. Undercut at the first round of stops I think.

Raikkonen all over the McLarens. That could be interesting as the race progresses.

That was cool, happy they're both still on the track!

The Toro Rosso boys doing their level best to wake us all up with a brief but racey fight for 12th.

  • Registered Users Posts: 890 ✭✭✭seamusk84

Ah it’s not the worst race so far...Hamilton sticking with Verstappen!

The mid field is pretty tight too. Could liven up in the second half.

Hamilton toying as usual, he’s gonna win this

Mercedes crew just faked a 2nd Hamilton pit stop. I taught there was a penalty for doing it twice?

Yup, wouldn’t count them out yet though.

Also the Ferraris are dire on this circuit. Just fighting with each other.....could be interesting to see how that plays out.

Be some recovery if Ricardo gets some points too. Looking solid.

How did Hamilton make up 5 seconds so quick

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

Hamilton closed that gap scarily quick..........

Problem for him now is that his tyres will get shredded behind Verstappen

    It was 'Hammertime' dude :)

Looks like Red Bull took the 5 second gap for granted and weren't keeping an eye on Hamilton.

Either that or Max made a mistake somewhere.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,369 ✭✭✭Rossi IRL

    They will collide

    This is fantastic stuff.

Hamiltons brakes ovearheating again, fun over for a few laps.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,369 ✭✭✭Rossi IRL

One thing I don't like about DRS is how the leader can get it off a back marker and the back marker also has to get out of the way with blue flags.

The Hamilton bias is horrible on Sky. Great racing though

It's probably the same that Vettel gets from german/Italian TV and max from Dutch TV etc.

    Yawn.

British broadcast shows bias to British driver shocker.

Remember how RTÉ used to be around Eddie Irvine? I didn't hear anyone bitching about that then.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,369 ✭✭✭Rossi IRL

    That's a bold call

  • Registered Users Posts: 890 ✭✭✭seamusk84

Didn’t expect that. Haven’t a clue how Red Bull will respond

First F1 race I've watched in ages. Great so far, love Hamilton's agressive style.

Not a fan of the sub 3 second pitstops though. God be with the days the car would drive off after 12 seconds with the fuel pump still attached. :pac:

Switched over to Sky Deutschland no mention of Vettel;)

    I take your point though.

  • Site Banned Posts: 12,341 ✭✭✭✭Faugheen

No harm. Hamilton doesn't lose anything by pitting.

Now Red Bull can't pit Verstappen because they come out behind. Really have nothing to lose.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

Max surely has to stay out there now.

World feed hasn't shown him since he lined up on the start line. Thet may of factored in to not hearing about him.

They'll be lapped soon, that will get them some screen time!

Max can lose around 0.8 second a lap and still win.

Hamilton flying in clear air now.
