    What made you smile today?

A group doing a cyclethon for charity on exercise bikes under a canopy in the lashing rain.

Where's the best sun holiday you've had on the continent?

    Corsica
What time will you get up tomorrow?

    From my experience, just time.

    Who broke your heart?

Who hasn't would be a shorter list in my case.

Do you have a mental image of what other boards posters look like?

    Some, yeah..

    Are you photogenic?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,227 ✭✭✭✭RMAOK

Oh God no. I look like the back of a bus.

Are you keeping in out of the Storm today?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,633 ✭✭✭✭Widdershins

    Who broke your heart?

Nobody apart from someone who passed away some years ago. Who broke my head is more like it.

Have you broken hearts, and did you know?

Yes I'm photogenic in a calm relaxed mood, used to model a bit, one photographer would feed me alcohol to relax me (only a little bit) as the tension shows massively in the set of my face.

What do you think of table quizzes?

Yeah, pretty much.. gonna hit the shop for some food in a while, but that should be it I'd say..

    I quite like table quizzes..

Is the weather bad where you are now?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,633 ✭✭✭✭Widdershins

No. I hardly believe in storms at this stage.
Mild, with a strong breeze. There was some brief thunder & lightning which knocked the power off for a moment. But I just glanced up and saw my hazel tree bent to the grass...maybe it hasn't really got going yet.

Do you have a generator or is there one in your building?

Do! Before your power goes and you can't listen to it.

Last time you travelled by ferry?

Last time you travelled by ferry?

I was on the Passage East car ferry at the beginning of last month.

Do you know where any of your great grandparents are buried?

No. I don't know where maternal ggp's were from, either.

Do you turn your phone off when with your partner or if you're currently not attached, Do you think phones should always be powered off for time with partners?

Turned off may not be necessary but definitely limited use. Even non-romantic relationships deserve uninterrupted time without notifications. If someone is in your presence they should take the priority.

    Whats your mood like today?

I'm kinda sad.. depressing night last night with drunken relatives arguing..

Does alcohol cause more trouble than it's worth?..

    Very mediocre tbh

What would make you extremely happy right now apart from a lotto win?

    A bit fragile. Totm imminent.

Alcohol amplifies my mood so it was trouble when I drank when upset. I think alcohol should be respected.

I'd be extremely happy if I knew my fiancee was guaranteed long life but nobody's guaranteed that

Would you feel snubbed by a friend not having a big wedding or a big party for everyone afterwards? E.g.. if she got married abroad and didn't tell people til after

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,648 ✭✭✭honeybear

I’d be completely okay with that. A few of my siblings eloped (is that word still used?) and there was no real fuss about it

    Do you like mulled wine?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,227 ✭✭✭✭RMAOK

    No.

    Are you easily angered?

    Not really..

    Can money buy class?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,633 ✭✭✭✭Widdershins

Like mulled wine and any spiced drinks inc. Non alcoholic ones like chai.

Easily see red if I think there's injustice.

Class and taste are innate and/or bred and taught to you. Money can buy well chosen expressions of class, I suppose.

    What do you think yourself?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,108 ✭✭✭Trigger Happy

Manners is the only currency that class respects.

When did you last take a photo of yourself?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,633 ✭✭✭✭Widdershins

    I like that one!
I know people who have memorized all the formal etiquette rules but don't have a concept of fundamental manners and decency and middle class people can be the most vulgar and clueless. I know people from rough backgrounds with an instinct for the decent, kind and wise thing to do.

Last week I took lots of photos on a camera with timer for my website/etsy shop.

    You?

I don't take photos of myself..

Do you have an artistic outlet?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,633 ✭✭✭✭Widdershins

Yes, it's my field of work.

    Do you?

Is it poor taste to mention menstruation?

    Yes..yes, kind of..

If you were to trace out a circle on the ground would you do it clockwise or anticlockwise?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,227 ✭✭✭✭RMAOK

    Clockwise

    Does that mean something?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,633 ✭✭✭✭Widdershins

Anticlockwise. If you are choosing between two unmarked unfamiliar road on your left and on your right, which direction would you choose?

Do you have any items from a religion you're not an adherent of?

    Yeah..strange answer..weirdo..

I'd probably turn around and go back the way I came..

    Probably a few..

Would you tend to respect other people's beliefs?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,633 ✭✭✭✭Widdershins

Yes. I don't care, if they're not hurting anyone.

Do you like adventure or a quiet life?

A bit of both really..an adventurously quiet or a quietly adventurous life..

Who do you think would win in a fight to the death..Tommy Tiernan or Ryan Tubridy?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,227 ✭✭✭✭RMAOK

Tiernan - tubs has got no fight in him imo.

Who'd win in a sumo wrestling match between Bryan Dobson and Pat Kenny?

    Probably Dobbo I'd say..

    Do you believe in reincarnation?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,227 ✭✭✭✭RMAOK

    No

    Do you?

Any hobbies that are usually categorised as the pursuits of the opposite sex?

Yeah, kind of..I kind of think I've met a few people I knew in past lives or something..

    No, don't think so..

Have you a fear of heights?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,633 ✭✭✭✭Widdershins

Yes. Hurt myself while abseiling so I now find it hard to breath when I look down from a height.

    How are you with heights?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,227 ✭✭✭✭RMAOK

    Absolutely terrible - hate them.

    A y d technology you'd like to see make a comeback?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,648 ✭✭✭honeybear

Don’t know whether this answers your question properly, but have great memories of the Commodore 64. Brother had one and we all loved it.

    Do you like to nap?

What would you recommend to watch on Netflix?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 793 ✭✭✭supermouse

I would like to but rarely can.

Are you in your pyjamas yet?

Yup! About 20mins away from my bed I think!
Do you ever wait to answer a question you want instead of the one asked?

Yes. Someone else might have a good answer for the last asked one while a different one might be more relevant to me

Do you have a first aid kit?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,648 ✭✭✭honeybear

    Yes

How would you rate your health (out of 10)?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,633 ✭✭✭✭Widdershins

    9. Little bit of repair to do, from past illness but thats more like a scar, figuratively speaking, than an existing problem. Hardy as anything nowadays.

Do you eat bread? Do you bake bread?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,616 ✭✭✭✭The Princess Bride

I don't eat bread, I can bake brown bread, have a lovely recipe actually.

Have you a secret santa thingy at work?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,363 ✭✭✭✭Purple Mountain

Yes. I have mine bought but not wrapped yet.

Do you put presents under the tree before Christmas eve?

To thine own self be true

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,648 ✭✭✭honeybear

    Yes.

Edit: Yes to pressies under tree

Any suggestions for a Secret Santa pressie for a male colleague in his early 30’s?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,616 ✭✭✭✭The Princess Bride

Depends on whether he's single/married/fun/boring/keep it simple perhap.
