Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Who is the last person you’ve spoken to (in person)?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,308 ✭✭✭✭Purple Mountain

    Mother Bear.

I'd get the colleague a funny mug for the work canteen.

    How's the weather your way?

It's grand, a wee bit of rain and a slight breeze but I'll survive.

Do you buy daily or weekend newspapers?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,648 ✭✭✭honeybear

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,308 ✭✭✭✭Purple Mountain

Do you buy new clothes for Christmas?

To thine own self be true

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,224 ✭✭✭✭RMAOK

Tbh no - I'm not a fan of Christmas.

If you had to emigrate to another country, which one would you go to and why?

I nearly did have to, if I really had to and had a choice of location itd b Cornwall. Weathers good, close enough to visit Ireland with ease, landscapes varied and interesting, good rich history and an alternative feel to it.its the least England feeling part of England. There's plenty of museums and cultural attractions and the Eden project. Nice place to raise a family.

Have you ever been given a second chance?
    (In any way)

No, it would not be a dish I would go looking for. The smell of it is like something from a bush tucker trial.

Is New Years eve a night for staying in or going out?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,648 ✭✭✭honeybear

Prefer house party than heading out

Will you have any outdoor Christmas decorations this year?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,633 ✭✭✭✭Widdershins

Would you consider not taking recreational trips abroad by plane to save the planet?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,308 ✭✭✭✭Purple Mountain

Nope because they're so few and rare that I deserve them. I'm a small fish in the global travel pond!

Are you having Christmas dinner in your home or anothers?

Not really, if I can understand what's being conveyed I don't get annoyed.

Have you ever had anything published, like a book or even a newspaper or magazine article?

    Yes, on numerous occasions.

    Have you a favourite author?

I like Lee child books, or did, I haven't read in a few years now, must get back to it.
I love Walter Macken books also.

Yes to the duvet covers and pillowcases.

Great to have authors answer, tnx.

    Where have you been published?

Not really, I'm not a suspicious person, I tend to take people at face value originally and don't judge until I have some experience of them.

What do you think of Kevin Myers?

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,224 ✭✭✭✭RMAOK

He's opinionated. I don't agree with a lot of his ideas, but I respect him for not taking the politically correct option all (or most) of the time.

What's your opinion on the term "West Brit"?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,633 ✭✭✭✭Widdershins

I like Lee child books, or did, I haven't read in a few years now, must get back to it.
I love Walter Macken books also.

Yes to the duvet covers and pillowcases.

Ooh I loved Walter Macken too.

I've had a few things published but you probably wouldn't know them. I'm going to.be secretive on this one.

Edit: West Brit and all animosity to English or perceived to be English people is ridiculous at this point in time. Some growing up needed by those who cling onto all of that

Do you know your moon sign (as opposed to your star sign)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,105 ✭✭✭Trigger Happy

No, I have no idea what a Moon sign is but I have had proper Moonshine in the Appalachians.

If Santa had to review your behaviour over 2019 would you be getting the present of your dreams or a lump of damp coal?
