Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I actually would and do, yes.

Will you watch Ultimate Hell Week when it's back next week?

    Are you watching first dates?

And have all of you laughing at me? Yeah right.

    Ever had a blind date?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,309 ✭✭✭✭Purple Mountain

When I was very young, late teens, my cousin told me to come on a work night out she was going on with colleagues. She said there was a single guy going and she'd introduce us. Wasn't a date per se obviously.
Anyhow, in the pub after introducing us, he starting chatting to me about introducing me to his mum.
I said I was going to the toilet and legged it out the back door of the pub and rang for a lift home. So that was my only experience of 'blind'.

    Tellus your worse date experience?

I remember one man whose phone easily rang half a dozen times during the date AND he answered each time.
After the last one, he looked at me, "there won't be another date, will there?"
    You think? Duh.

Most embarrassing thing you ever did on a date?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,633 ✭✭✭✭Widdershins

Nothing really...I'm embarassed I didn't pull the person up on his deplorable attitudes. I suppose when I drank more than I should have while waiting ages for the sort-of date and then throwing up two hours later.

Do you like to label people?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,328 ✭✭✭Upforthematch

    What's your superpower of choice?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,633 ✭✭✭✭Widdershins

Mind reading at will. You'd need to be able to turn it off when necessary.

    What's yours?

Do you work in a male or female dominated profession?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,608 ✭✭✭✭The Princess Bride

    Female.

Do you feel that all professions should have equal male:female ratios?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,633 ✭✭✭✭Widdershins

It's Art. I'm not sure? I'd say it's about even.

No...I don't think they should have quotas if that's what you meant?
But everyone should have equal opportunities in any given field.

    What about you?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,309 ✭✭✭✭Purple Mountain

No, people should get a job on their ability, not to fill a gender quota.

Do you make assumptions about posters on here?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,633 ✭✭✭✭Widdershins

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,497 ✭✭✭auspicious

I'm sorry to hear that happened.

It's the interaction with culturally like-minded people.
There's particular threads I have an interest in.
Currently it's the surreal reality of the coronavirus thread.

You do much other social media?

Meh not particularly, so long as they’re not addicted. Video games could be regarded as a form of interactive art.
