Usually I train, run mostly to de stress. A good tough Judo session is great for me too. Swimming is also great to unwind from the stresses of the day.

    Ever chat with your pets?.

Probably over 7 years. Before kids.
I hitchhiked all over the country.
    Did you hitchhike much?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,455 ✭✭✭✭Jim_Hodge

I used to hitchhike regularly as a young fella but not in the last forty years. Likewise I haven't seen a hitchhiker in a long time.

What forums or threads would you recommend here to a new poster in their early 60s with a general interest in all sorts and yet nothing in particular?

All Things Retro is good for nostalgia, Cool Vids & Pics & Links is great for the laugh/wow/no way factor.

Are you a fan of James Bond?

    Your favorite comedian?

Neil Delamere. He's just a natural witty guy without the smut.

Would you rather go for dinner with Trump or Putin?

Do I actually have choose? Putin I guess because of his hardcore stances. Trump doesn't know what he is about or what he is doing.

    Same question.

Putin. Seems like he walks the walk, which I respect in a person. Whether I'd agree with him on much is a separate question. Might ask him to show me his fancy horsemanship.

Did you think about environmental issues prior to the green trend?

    Yes, very much so..

Do you think the trend/media campaign could end up doing more harm than good?

I did, my mother always taught us to honor and respect mother earth. And one thing that hit home with me is over time the lack of fireflies back home, As a kid they were everywhere, now they are very few, And that saddens me.

Ever see seals in the wild?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,633 ✭✭✭✭Widdershins

Good and bad, think governments are just capitalising on it, supposed solutions like electric vehicles could do more harm. I don't think this stuff should be within the remit of lawmakers. Bit sick of the control they exert.

Yes, I saw seals in Kerry and in Wexford :)

Ever dropped out in some way?

Yes - basking on the beach and on rocks during that beautiful summer we had a few years ago. We have Brendan Price & his amazing volunteers to thAnk for many years or rescuing and profiling the importance of seals and pioneering seal rescue and treatment re-release long before it became fashionable.

Spent today entirely in bed reading Graham Nortons ‘Holding’ (brilliant),and listening to the wind howl outside. How did you spend your storm day?
