Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Irish wit

What’s the best thing about long summer evenings?

Being able to walk late into the evenings, hopefully. Everyone in a good mood, so many positives.

    Are you a Eurovision fan?

I love music so if it’s on I find it hard to avoid but if I had something to be doing I’d forget it.

    What’s the Irish song like?

Catchy but missing something that would make it a winner.

    Have you seen Rocketman?

No but I love the song

    First song you really loved?

Haven’t seen it. Haven’t seen a movie in ages.

    Any you would recommend?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,608 ✭✭✭✭The Princess Bride

Parasite is very good, Once upon a time in Hollywood is worth seeing for Brad Pitt's character alone, Rocketman is good, quite sad at times.

Who would play you in a biopic?

Who would play you in a biopic?

Saffron Burrows . She's tall (2 inches taller than me for a change) and has cheekbones and red hair. The actresses are always better looking than the real people.

Was Cary Elwes the prettiest man alive?

    Not really for me

Who (family/partner/friend) is most likely to make you laugh?

2 friends. Neither of them make a point of trying to be comedians all the time.

    Same question?

    Same question?

My partner. He makes me laugh every single day.

After him, any one of my brothers. Bunch of smart asses that always make me chuckle.

Hoping to achieve anything today ?

What's the first thing you thought about this morning?

    Not a one.

If you bought something (say flat-pack furniture) in a shop, would you be able to follow the assembly instructions easily, or would you have to get someone else to do it for you?

I can follow them easily but usually I let my partner do it. He seems to enjoy that sort of thing and I like to watch a man work! ;):D

Everything makes a comeback at some stage - usually in 20 year cycles, I think.

Ever got a massage from a member of your own gender?

Depends what I'm cooking. Rapeseed more than anything.
