Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Do you live urban or rural?

Rural area but not far from towns or cities.

    Do you do some gardening?

    Nope..

I'm stretched out on the couch..wrecked...

    Where are you now?

I do. I've surprised myself since we bought our house by really enjoying gardening. My favourite thing is on a warm summers evening, wandering around watering flowers with the dogs trotting along behind me. I can't wait for summer!

What's something mundane enough that you love about summer?

Edited to add an answer to the question above.. I'm in my parents house, collecting my dogs.

What should I do with my Saturday night?

As I can't, what do you think I should do with mine?

Yeah. Tupac Shakur. Thought he was the most beautiful man I'd ever set eyes on. My heart broke when I heard he'd died.

    What about you?

I was with you until spiders. You lost me there.

I'd keep mine. I'm grand with it.

When I was really young I wished I had a gender neutral name though, like Alex. So I could pretend to be a boy if I wanted. Now I'm happy with my girly name.

    Oops forgot a question...

    Who is your favourite boardsie???

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,409 ✭✭✭✭Sardonicat

Favourite Beatle is George. I have not met many people who say their favourite is Ringo!

Favourite animal = cats. I've got 3 and a foster cat

I don't think I'd change my name but I am looking forward to when I can ditching my family name.

What period/event in history would you like to travel back in time to experience?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,309 ✭✭✭✭Purple Mountain

It's not very historic, but the 50s for the clothes :)

I am watching Control, the biopic about Ian Curtis, are you watching me watch it?

I love board games, LUDO and Scrabble in particular.

Do you dare go on a sun holiday this year?

Irish hero...I don't know the modern ones apart from republicans pre-Independence...Scáthach the warrior woman...or was she technically Scottish ?

Good few historic Irishwomen of wit & wisdom who I admire but my mind is a blank

By the time I posted, a few more questions were asked... sun holiday isnt my cup of tea...I need things to do and see more than just sun...
What do you think of the name Ríonach, for a girl?
(I think my Fàda is backwards in the name?)

Not really. I do like quizzes though. I'd love to be in a pub quiz team. When I'm not a carer anymore I think I'll set one up.( Yes, I'm a complete nerd)

What should I call my team?

    Prepare to cry.
I don't do sun. (See above autobiography title) but even if I did I wouldn't get the opportunity. I'm pretty much self isolated already.

    Ríonnach is a fabulous name!

Call it the ex carers and then I can be on your team. Pub quizzes are actually the best!

My favourite childhood sweets..... Not sure probably chocolate; I'm a longtime lover of it.

    Are you competitive?

No. I really like to do my very best but I don't mind if others do better than me. Just so long as I know I did as well as I could.

What I do hate in pub quizzes though is people on other teams for no reason, whispering answers to you. Like I don't want your help, I want to do it on my own merit!

Are you ok with being the center of attention?
