    Hi folks,

I bought a polk signa solo off you guys in the past couple of years. Its decided to stop working, no sound at all. Its not even making the beep when selecting a function. What warranty is available on it?

    Hey Sparrowcar.

Sorry to hear that you are having issues with your soundbar.

The standard Polk warranty would be 1 year unfortunately.

We can still offer a repair service on products outside of warranty.
There would be a £40 estimate fee to be paid once the faulty item has been returned to us.
We would then send it to the manufacturer for the repair estimate.
Once the estimate is been received you can then decide if you want to go ahead with the repair.

For example if the repair estimate was £60. The £40 already paid comes off this leaving only £20 to pay for the repair.
If they came back and said it was £200 to fix and you declined the repair. We would return your soundbar to you but you would lose the £40 as this is used to cover the estimate getting produced.

You can of course pick up a NEW Polk Signa Solo for just £99

    Let me know your thoughts.

Don't think I'd go for it again after its short life span.

What other offers have you sub €150, something a bit smaller in size preferably?

    Hi Sparrowcar.

Not too many at that price unfortunately.

There is the Roth Sub Zero III priced at 144.95 Euro
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-201646-roth-sub-zero-iii-soundbar.aspx

Or the JBLBar priced at 119 Euro
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-203184-jbl-bar-studio-black-soundbar.aspx

You can also add our 6 year guarantee to any of the above for just 10% of the retail price.

What's the best price you can do on the JBL bar including delivery to Swords, Dublin?

    Deagol,

thanks for the info - we are aware of that however the onus is on the Customer to prove that there is a manufacturing fault outside of the standard warranty - however @Sparrowcar, if you can mail us to sales@richersounds.ie with some info on exactly when you purchased it we will have a look at it for you with Polk - we may need you to pop it up to us so we can check it out for you.

..as an aside, I've just checked and TBH we have never had a faulty Signa Solo - have you checked that it's not a simple fuse issue as those symptoms are really untypical?

..as another aside if you would prefer to opt for the JBL Bar Studio Kenny has had a chat with me and we would do it at £75 / €89 inc shipping for you for the hassle..

Keep us posted and we will do our best to assist,

    ATVB,

    John Mc & Crew

    Deagol,

Please take a moment to read the Charter for this forum - queries here are for Richersounds to answer, pitching in your opinion in a thread here is not appropriate:
    • As a general principle, if you're not asking Richersounds for a quote/information/involved in a deal here, it's usually best to proceed with caution. A more judicious approach to interventions and expressing opinions is needed here than would otherwise prevail in a general discussion area, such as the Home Entertainment Forums.

    • If you see a post which is looking for a quote or advice from RS, please resist the urge to offer your opinion. Such queries are not an open invitation for posters to make suggestions etc, these queries should be left to RS to answer. If queries or requests for quotes attracted everyone's opinion, the forum would be unworkable. This is not intended to prevent the usual chat and banter which you will regularly see on the RS forum.

    • If you have an opinion on some matter related to the items that Richersounds sells, or you wish to give people the benefit of your advice on some related issue, Please do not post it in this forum. There are other fora on Boards in the Tech section on Home Entertainment or TV related topics, or in the Consumer fora, which are suitable locations for endowing Boardies with the benefit of any advice or opinion you wish to offer. Bearing in mind the purpose of this forum, posts along the lines described here are not appropriate and will be suitably snipped or deleted without warning. This approach is taken to ensure the workability of this particular forum and to ensure that general advice and discursive posts are made in the appropriate forum. This is not intended to prevent the usual chat and banter which you will regularly see on the RS forum.

I’ve snipped part of your post above and left the rest only for the sake of order as John has responded about the matter.

If you have a query for Richersounds you’re very welcome to open a thread and ask away, but please take note of the Charter and do not intervene in a thread in this way again.

If you have any queries about the Charter feel free to drop me a PM, do not post any further on this thread.

    Ritz.

Gents, think either the dog or one of the kids ate the JBL studio sound bar remote :)

Is it possible to buy a replacement one?

    Cheers
