    Hi,

We are close to drawing down our mortgage and have already paid our deposit. We wanted to move the money from the mortgage saver account to our joint account to pay for Stamp duty and solicitor fees. Is there any small print we should be aware of that would be a risk to the bonus? Or can we just move the money?

We have being saving a valid amount (between 200-2.4k) for 9 months into the account up to now.

    Thanks

    Hi Ruaneg,

Thank you for reaching out to us, it's nice to hear from you.

Congratulations on paying your deposit and best of luck with your new home!

To be eligible for the Mortgage Saver bonus you both need to be first time buyers and you need to draw down your mortgage within 30 months of opening the savings account. You also need to be saving for at least 6 consecutive months and the money needs to be used for buying your first home. The bonus is applied to your savings account after your mortgage is drawn down.

You seem to meet these conditions so as long as your draw down the mortgage before you reach the 30 months limit, then you will receive your bonus. If you wish to check on the terms and conditions, you can find them here https://bit.ly/2OOFeWL

I hope this information helps and good luck with your new home.

    Many thanks,
    Kat
