    Hiya guys

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with Dorper sheep?

"The Dorper is a South African breed of domestic sheep developed by crossing Dorset Horn and the Blackhead Persian sheep"

They seem to becoming more popular in the UK but I haven't seen any mention of them being present in the UK.

Also on the topic of hair sheep, if crossed with a mountain sheep would the lambs be expected to lose their wool? Or would you need the breed to be pure for this to happen?

Apparently, their a good shedder, but not great in other areas, such as feet in milder climates like ours. Apparently, anyway. Probably easier to source a easycare.
Also heard that a mountain ewe crossed to a shedding sheep will have a large number of fully shedding lambs on first cross.
