    Amityville for me...it scared the bejesus out of me. Psycho is great but in terms of horror, it didn't stay with me in the same way.

    Psycho for me, if it had of been the original Amidyville, would have been a closer call.

    I first watched the film as a kid. I was actually grand during that scene. It was the later scene that freaked me out!!!

    That scene might be why the song "Somebody's watching me" kind of freaked me out.

    Interesting fact: in 1960 it was still customary to go in to a film at any moment in time, so it was a frequent occurrence that people would start a film somewhere in the middle, see the end, then stay until the next showing and see what they missed in the beginning.

    Hitchcock refused to allow people in after Psycho had started because it'd spoil the ending. Eventually that way of viewing films became the norm. Weird to think of it now, but it was an amazing novelty to simply see a film from beginning to end.
