I think Ciaran Whelan was correct when he said that if Dean Rock had scored a point from the sideline kick then we would have stole the win which not be a true reflection of the match.
I'm looking forward to the replay - we will succeed.

U could b right bout dubs winning next day.... However Kerry now know there good enuf and the dubs looked tired.. Jack mccaffrey kept em in it.... But they are Def slipping a bit

I doubt we are slipping more likely due to been a man down.

True the opposition will always have an unmarked man when you're a man down.
They did very well to hold it to a draw

It's a he actually Base and I think it was just the way the sun was shining that caused her to close that eye. She's very proud of the foal and I'm assuming it's her first although her date of birth is down as 2007 and she's probably older imo. I bought her about 3 years ago for €150 at the mart so I don't know anything about her history.

Both are in lovely condition and are a credit to you. Looking at the photo - the foal has long legs for a donkey! - he is going to be fairly tall I think.

It has the same length legs as the mother.
So it'll be the same height as the mother.
Donkey and horse foal's legs don't grow any longer from when they are born.

Thanks gozunda although they don't get any special treatment and fend for themselves for the most part. I've access to lots of backward bits of gardens with poor fencing and the few donkey's suit them, there easily contained and don't need much facilities as regards handling. The mare is around a 11 hands and the jack was much the same so I'd expect the foal to be something similar. It's rained nearly non stop since he was born and I don't think he knows what it is to be dry yet. For anyone that wasn't interested or able bodied enough for cattle or sheep there an ideal livestock unit imo, once there feet are kept in order it's only a matter of feed and shelter for the winter.

    I think they're changing that.

To a degree yes, you'll only be able to use donkeys for 50% of your required livestock units from next year or at least that's my understanding of it.

I think the occasion got to them. Even Fenton was poor today. They'll be a different team next day. Great game though. You have to admire the confidence of the young Kerry players.

Can't see so many of the Dubs playing that badly again - think Kerry have missed the boat!!

All the talk of donkeys with long legs and one eye reminded me of this. I love a good laugh.

Ah, she is a dote. Has the mare got one eye or has she got it closed due to the sunlight.
I thought she was winking for the camera!

I saw Kerry beat that pants off Derry in the 2017 all Ireland minor finals. I presume a lot of that team were on the pitch today.

I think that was the final the Clifford kicked 4 goals .
Kerry won 5 Minor titles from 2014 to 2018. There's no shortage of underage talent in the Kingdom. They were going for 6 this year but Galway beat them.

Mods, why are so many threads being closed?

Mods, why are so many threads being closed?

I'm having a bad run of it alright. I suppose one was started when the Farmers Strike thread was in theatre undergoing surgery. There was no point having it as the other was always gonna come back.
The one tonight , there's a Mod note in it explaning the reason.
I'm saying this cos we're all friends in here! I've no intention of debating the issue or answering any questions on the matter. If there's anything outstanding I'll answer via pm.

Mods, why are so many threads being closed?

Explanations are in the two I closed yesterday. Basically they were questioning why the Strike thread was missing. I directed them to the explanation in the Chit Chat thread and then closed the threads.

Not winning it is one thing, but what I reckon is really killing the Kerry lads, is that they have to pay up all over again...

Ps..my first time shouting for Kerry

Missed the final yesterday, was at football. 6pm is a much better time to have it on. Will the tickets for the replay be cheaper?

They generally are I think. Was the last final replay price down to 60 or 50 I think

The ones in the garage are gone but there was some flying into one of the sheds in the yard yesterday. There are 2 house martin nests at the gable of the house and they are still here.

Last week we had serious activity with swallows, swifts and housemartins.
