Been waiting weeks to hear back about overdraft application

I applied for overdraft in early July. On the 22nd, I recieved a call that my husband would need to go on the application as well as it was a joint account. That phone call was on the 22nd of July, and I haven't heard back since. Shouldn't they tell me if it isn't approved?
