Anyone want to take a stab at the OS headline acts?

    I'm thinking

    London Grammar
    Manics

And it looks like Fatboy Slim has announced he's one of them.

    FBS
    Pet Shop Boys

    Just saw that,
Hopefully it's Dua Lipa on the Saturday, she'd definitely split the crowd more than the other 2 would.

no Aerosmith is a strange one

Covid-19 surely. Tyler is 71 and has Hepatitis C so wouldn't take any risks. Maybe others also hedging their bets.

Not an impressive set of headliners for the OS given that Emily Eavis said they were all potential main stage headliners themselves.

Otherwise am very happy with that announcement, not much that is adventurous but loads to see and I never thought I'd get the chance to see Herbie Hancock & the Isley Brothers.

Already clashes - Paul McCartney vs The Isley Brothers. That's harsh.

Not mad about the OS headliners but I'd go to see pet shop boys and Fat boy slim over Kendrick and Taylor

Kendrick I love, but not overwhelmed at EP. Pet Shop Boys are reliably brilliant but FBS is easily amongst the worst acts I've ever seen. But as we know, it's Glasto so the issue is clashes rather than acts you don't like.

And haven't they got an enormous amount of big acts on the undercard? Everybody wanting to do the 50th.

Fatboy Slim, Dua Lipa and Pet Shop Boys are headlining the Other Stage.
Noel Gallagher playing before Macca on the Pyramid.

Tis only alright. Some great stuff in there (Herbie Hancock!!) and a load of repeats and bog standards.

I take it you're not going.

I don't have a ticket but Ill go if I can get one. Almost anyone Id want to see Ive seen before. Half of the acts have played the same festivals over the last couple of years and Ive seen at Glastonbury or End of the Road.

Theres lots on there but no big wows from me apart from Diana Ross (who will likely pull out) and Herbie Hancock (who will likely pull out).

Its still Glasto, it'll be great regardless.

Hopefully a right few tickets launched back in to the resale after this line-up drop and impending global catastrophe.

This announcement feels like a tease :(

I'd imagine this will be a relatively easy resale alright. Who knows if the festival will go ahead though. Looks unlikely.

I’m slightly disappointed. Other stage headliners are a massive anti climax and there’s waaaay to much sh!te pop on there and a bunch of bands that have played the last few years. Well at least there won’t be many clashes. Could be doing all 3 pyramid headliners.

Having resigned myself to missing out for the 2nd year running I think I might try in the resale now.

Then hope for a cancellation and the tickets carry over until 2021.

    Amazing bookings:
    Paul McCartney
    Diana Ross
    Pet Shop Boys
    Phoebe Bridgers
    Robyn
    The Specials

    Solid bookings:
Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals
    Angel Olsen
    Anna Calvi
    The Avalanches
    Blossoms
    Candi Staton
    Caribou
    Cate Le Bon
    Confidence Man
    Crowded House
    Editors
    Elbow
    Fatboy Slim
    FKA twigs
    Fontaines D.C.
    Taylor Swift
    Glass Animals
    Goldfrapp
    Happy Mondays
    The Isley Brothers
    The Jesus and Mary Chain
    KOKOKO!
    The Lightning Seeds
    London Grammar
    JARV IS…
    Manic Street Preachers
    Metronomy
    Rufus Wainwright
    Sam Fender
    Seun Kuti
    Sinead O’Connor
    Skunk Anansie
    Soccer Mommy
    Supergrass
    Thom Yorke Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes
    Thundercat
    Primal Scream

Stuff I'd like to see, but could live without:
    Baxter Dury
    Cage The Elephant
    Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds
    The Orielles
    Lana Del Rey
    Dizzee Rascal
    Groove Armada
    Haim
    Herbie Hancock
    Imelda May
    Suzanne Vega
    TLC

So yeah, amazing lineup, though I suppose Glastonbury folks are traditionally spoiled for choice at the best of times and its not possible to see all the gigs.

With the resale, if people have tickets and can't make it so put it back for resale, do they get refunds? I wonder are many doing this rather than risk it being cancelled with no refund?

From what I read, most people would be happy enough to keep their tickets on the basis that it will probably be either rescheduled or their 2020 tickets will be valid for 2021.

I agree re the cancellations (add in the Isley Brothers, Kendrick and others) but were that lineup (with additions - Aerosmith, etc) go ahead then it'd be pretty enjoyable.

You're also right about repeated bookings, but there are so many of those returning artists of quality that it'll be hard not to be overwhelmed with stuff you see.

And there are a hell of a lot of new acts, big and small. Two of the headliners for starters.

I think it might be because I'm getting older but I'm underwhelmed by that line up too. I'm sure I'll have a blast regardless if it goes ahead.

Yep. I think your chances have greatly increased. If called off and you've bagged a ticket then hopefully they'll honour it for 2021.

I was really hoping for The Specials to be announced for EP or ATN this year. I know it's been harder to miss them across the island this past year but I've somehow managed it.

Manics to headline the Park Stage

Looking forward to Cage The Elephant and Phoebe Bridgers.. but there's a lot of fluff on that.

    Who keeps booking Blossoms?!!

Agreed. Two decent songs and an awful lot of landfill.
